When I’m working in the area this is my go to place for lunch and a quick tentempié before dinner. Delicious comfort food with high quality and healthy ingredients. I ordered two Ruebens sandwich one with onion rings and the other with curly fries. It was AMAZING. The bread was perfectly toasted, the sour kraut was fresh and had more of a Cole slaw text which I found refreshing, and the turkey was a thicker cold cut slice that had a more meaty texture than your normal cold cuts at the deli. Overall the flavor combination was really tasty and left me satisfied and full just with half a sandwich — the portions are generous which is great because later that day I was too tired to cook and was able to eat the other half for dinner.
The service is steady and fast, along with welcoming and friendly staff behind the counter. Wait time on busier days is still very reasonable and the passes quickly while I multitask on responding to emails while I wait for the order to be ready. There also a nice area to sit and enjoy the cool breeze and the trees above.
I also appreciate that the exterior area is clean and tidy, and trash isn’t piling up in the trash bins causing it to smell in the summer months. You can eat outside without a constant interruption of flies coming to your food.
It is very well kept and organized, making your outdoors eating experience pleasant, comfortable, and enjoyable which makes it memorable.
Thank you for the amazing service. I will definitely be...
Read moreI've been three times since the new owners took over. While the staff has been nice, my order was wrong every time. They are VERY slow, but they are still learning. I love that they are serving food now, but I'm concerned that staff has no sense of urgency. Also, the plastic spoons on my most recent visit were so cheap and flimsy that they bent and the eating experience was disappointing. Also, there did not seem to be more than 1 recycling container, and it was not centrally located (to the best of my memory). The napkins were like dissolving paper. Don't people know that cheap plastic spoons and inferior quality napkins set a tone that negatively impacts ones perception of an establishment?
On my most recent visit I ordered hot fudge sauce but it was at the end of container and rather than open a new one the lady used a spoon and dolloped 2 hard blobs of chocolate onto my ice cream and assumed it was acceptable...not at alll sauce and not at all plesant. I did not complain as this was the correction from her first mistake, and I was with friends and did not want to further damage the vibe that Cherries already negatively impacted by my group not being able to eat together due to careless errors. I will continue to visit in hopes of improvement as I'd love to update this review with a higher score once I see a positive change in the overall ice cream experience; they have a...
Read moreI wish I could comment more about the food here, but after I got my ice cream I think I couldn't stomach it. While in line waiting to order, I watched a thin young employee with dirty blonde hair scooping some sort of sticky nuts from one container to another. She had no gloves on, and I watched her as she struggled with a scoop and used her very long nails to help scoop it on the spoon, using her nail like a shovel. I was really mortified at that point. She was the only employee not wearing gloves. She kept looking up at me probably aware I had just watched her do that. Then she proceeded to answer the phone, and use sanitizer poorly before she took an order at the cash register. I said something to another employee who said they would talk to her. I watched that employee mention it to the young girl who then threw on gloves, never bothering to wash her hands. Nor did they bother to toss the container she had her hand and nails in. If you know anything about the basics of food service and hand hygiene, you'd know that was dirty and inappropriate. I tossed my ice cream and left....
