Hoosey’s Restaurant and Bar — Restaurant in Town of Mayfield

I'm guessing that the longer they are open the more they will discover what their style is as far as decor goes. It's rather empty feeling in there. It's a cold gray color and not many decorative features. Not many tables for such a large space. They have excellent service which is rare today. They have a great menu and the food is good. They give you a lot for your money as far as portion size. I had what was titled as a club sandwich but it's not because you pick which lunch meat you want in it. I thought a club came with what you were offering. At any rate it was plentiful. I didn't need the third layer of bread in it though. I tried a mixed drink. I had a Bloody Mary and it was very good. The server made sure I was happy with it as the regular bartender wasn't on duty yet. And she even brought out extra horseradish for the drink. I was very good. Reasonable price. My friend had a BLT and a double shot of PB whiskey. Both reasonably priced. Friend said that the sandwich was very good. I would go back and try out some other things because they do have a great menu selection. Price with drinks and sandwiches a little over $40. In today's pricing... it's comparable to...

First time and sorry to say not impressed. The dining room is more like a cafeteria setting. We ordered wings and a sandwich which took 1 hour and 10 minutes to get to our table. If you are short handed customers should be made aware of that before seated. Didn't rate the food because I never had the chance to order. My band played there last weekend. Nice place and the bartenders were very pleasant and quick.
