I work in a restaurant. I had never been here before. Tuesday early afternoon, We walked in, a table of 4, I asked a girl behind the counter on the left of we seated ourselves. She said yes sure find a table. On our way to a table we saw menus sitting on a table so we grabbed them. We were basically yelled at for getting the menus becasue if we get out own menus, both waitresses will think the other one brought them menus and we will never get any service. So I apologized and she continued to explain the "rules" relentlessly even though they were not posted. We literally almost left. Whatever move on maybe she's stressed about something. I'd say the place was about half full. I ordered scrambled eggs with ham home fries and wheat toast. Second plate hash and a waffle with strawberry on the side. Third plate scrambled eggs hash browns and white toast. Fourth plate french toast for a 4 year old. They did not use real eggs. It was boxes scrambled eggs and they were extremely under cooked, inedible. The home fries were good. The hash browns were not cooked. The waffle was cold but good. The French toast was cold but good. We didn't let anyone know we were unhappy with the food. We paid full price and tipped twenty percent. But we will...
Read moreMy first time visiting this establishment, went with two friends for a bite to eat. The prices are a little high, but so are most other small business. We each had something different and I forgot to take pics of our dishes. One friend had an omelet w/toast, another had sausage gravy over biscuits, and I had a hamburger that came with fries. They enjoyed their food, but my own personal opinion about what I had is "great". The burger was delicious and the fries were wonderful. Just a personal opinion, but I don't think they should charge extra for lettuce, tomatoes, and onions? Quit honestly that's the first time I have ever seen that situation. The "plain" burger with fries is $7, if you want the " extras" it's $10, $3 more for lettuce, tomatoes, and onions ... no thank you. The woman that were there waiting on us were very pleasant, Stacy and Susan I believe. The restaurant is decorated very nicely for the holidays. Not sure if I would go back again because of the pricing. I forgot to mention, you only get one biscuit with the sausage gravy (had to ask/pay for an extra). So all in all, the place is pretty decent, but the menu and prices...
Read moreIf there was a negative zero option this place earned it. My husband and I went for New Years weekend breakfast and it was literally the worst experience ever. We ordered two omelettes, home fries and toast with two coffees and an ice water. We received our coffees and water, finished both long before our meal came and never received a refill. The meal came and the toast was sitting atop the home fries so absorbed all the heat and grease so was limp and soggy. The home fries were over cooked and hard. The omelettes were scary with a rancid taste. Took one bite, gagged and said forget it. My husband was the same. Someone, not our waitress because we never saw her again after we received our one coffee, asked if I wanted a to go container and my husband explained the omelette was inedible. She immediately said, oh, I have to talk to the cook about not using the same pan or grill once he's made a seafood omelette. Ever heard of cross contamination in food preparation??? So, that explained the foul taste of the eggs. Totally disgusting and I consider them fortunate that neither of us have a seafood allergy. Beware...
