Buyer beware. The food is meh. Had boneless wings (they were out of bone-in both nights I went). The lettuce in the salad for $23 was just iceberg. Italian dressing not so good. Service was awful both nights. The first night the waitress charged us gratuity (this was not on menu as a notification) without telling us so we tipped regularly in addition. So dishonest. Got home and saw the bill and the waitress granted herself a tip without telling us and then took our additional tip. Even when she saw we left tip in cash on table as she was taking credit cards she did not mention the double tipping. So scammy and ILLEGAL. The next night I went to meet a friend and ask for my money back and they only gave me back the 15% tip she granted herself when I requested the 20% tip we gave her back. Who would give a thieving waitress a 20% tip? Disgusting.

Night 2- terrible service at the bar. We had to ask for drink refills, ask to place a food order and ask for our bill. Largely ignored while sitting right next to the waitress station. Even waving them down didn’t work and it was not overly busy. The manager was also right there chatting people up and having a beer while this terrible service was happening.

Only good thing was the fun atmosphere on the water. Food not worth the price both nights. Terrible service. At least the manager helped me out a little by getting me the stolen tip back mostly (shorted me about $15). But my gosh what a terrible experience. I’ve worked in restaurants for decades and never would I blatantly steal from a customer then not give them their $ back in full...

Will not return! Visited for lunch on a Sunday. We all were ordering salads. We were told when we were seated that they had no fresh chicken. All of their salads come with either chicken or shrimp for $20. One person in our party ordered the sothwestern salad (normally comes with grilled chicken) $20, but with no chicken since they dod not have, one ordered boneless wings as replcement for grilled chicken salad $20 and I ordered the summer salad, (again normally comes with chicken) I got it with shrimp $20. When the bill came, there was no discount for the no chicken salad and an up charge for the wings that replaced the grilled chicken we were told they didnt have! When I asked to speak with the manager, the server went to get, then returned and informed me he said he was to busy to come to the table to talk about the bill. Horrible attitude. Although the view was nice and server apologized, I felt ripped off. $20 for a grilled chicken salad without the chicken, then $16 for...

We were staying with friends who live in Gloversville. We usually go to Sport Island Grill, which is great, but we made the mistake of trying this place instead. We are from Long Island, NY. Our waitress was beyond rude!! We ordered 2 Long Island Teas no sour mix. They arrived in a cup the size you would get orange juice in wash we took pictures! Sent them back saying we wanted normal size drinks. They came back tons of ice again, and only vodka 😂 these drinks are 4 or 5 liquors. My husband dealt with his I sent mine right back never took a sip tasted his. I had water rest of lunch. Bill came waitress charged us for my drink, really? We said please take the drink off with her eyes rolling around in disgust she said I will see what I can do? Really? They did if not her tip would have been $14 less. The food is not good, pricey and not worth it. The waitress made everything worse, and she’s lucky we gave her a good tip! Our friends live nearby and doubt they...

A nice little bar on Sacandaga Lake. They have a nice bar menu and often have specials. Currently they are featuring an Octoberfest menu in addition to their regular menu. I had Jaeger schnitzel made with veal and my bride had Weiner Schnitzel made with Chicken. Each meal came with a potato pancake, spaetzele and Sweet and Sour Red Cabbage. It was truly delicious. They also have a nice selection of beer and cider on tap. The only criticizism I have is that the selections are not descriptive enough to make an informed decision. The beer listings give the alcohol content but don't specify the IBU's or the type of hops used. The bar has both inside and outside seating. It is directly on Sacandaga Lake and is beautiful. We certainly will be frequenting the Lakeside Tavern.

Nice chill vibe with nice lake scenery. Food was meh, pub food at high prices, 2 $19/salad, 2 beers $70+ Seating was available immediately during the week. Staff is friendly. The bathroom situation is weird, curtains instead of doors sink is to close to the toliet and difficult washing your hands when toliet is occupied. (Doesnt feel sanitary) They have out houses (port a potties) near the entrance that attract a lot of flies and are smelly. No happy hour???? Bartender handled money and then handed me drink garnishments with dirty hands 🤢.

2022 Update: Prices have drastically increased in the past year and service has gone way down. Inside dining not always available. No substitutions, no changes are allowed to what is on the menu (printed on the menu and confirmed by our waitress). Food was still excellent, view is still beautiful. No dark beer at all, not on tap and not even in cans/bottles, but over half a page of IPAs - gross! Down to a three star place. I'd recommend taking a pass. 2021 Original Review: 5 stars - Great food, great atmosphere, great service!
