I had the opportunity to be in this bar for a few days in a row as I was staying at the hotel that had this bar in it. Got to know the staff. Some good, the others should just find a different career path. The nice staff were friendly and great with service.
The bad ones were talking about other staff members right in front of customers. They were paying attention to their regular customers more than the new ones. When I asked them for service, it seemed like I was interrupting them with their friends.
I stayed in the hotel and the bar served breakfast in the morning. Walked into the bar and asked if they were serving breakfast yet. One of the two waitresses said that they just stopped serving breakfast ten minutes ago. She said that they would be ready to take my lunch order in about ten minutes 'cause they had to switch over from breakfast to lunch in the kitchen area. So I ordered coffee and waited. Within 15 minutes of me sitting there drinking my coffee, six more orders of breakfast were served and one of the waitresses went in the kitchen area and came out with a freshly made breakfast for herself. At about 30 minutes of sitting there and not one of those two waitresses came to take my order, I decided to go eat at a...
Read moreWe love this place for breakfast when staying in Mercer. We ate here when staying at the attached hotel while in Mercer visiting friends. We loved it so much that we have returned numerous times even when staying at other places. Whatever you order, make certain you have an appetite. Their food is both delicious and on the larger size in regards to servings. I ordered the meat omelet and it was HUGE, stuffed with sausage, bacon, ham, jalapeños, and sautéed vegetables. It was delicious and served with an order of hashbrowns and a small stack of pancakes I ordered on the side. It is my absolute favorite omelet of all time and I could of shared it with my wife and we would of still left together happy and full. My wife ordered the avocado toast and she too was extremely satisfied. We always try to stop in a few times when staying numerous days up here. Great place and worth the wait when...
Read moreWe were here for the Pumpkin Poker Run. Great breakfast, fair drink prices, and super convenient as we stayed at the hotel.
The reason for the low rating is the service. The bartenders are absolutely terrible. We went Thursday night, Friday morning, Saturday morning/night, and Sunday morning. Everytime they were so rude, ignored empty drinks or cleared the glasses without offering refills?? What the hell. They all walk around with scowls on their faces and ignore new customers walking in. I always tip 30-40%, but Saturday morning for breakfast I actually left under 10%. The woman working every morning, 40/50s blonde with hair in a hat and ponytail, she was the worst and turned me off of this place completely. Here's a tip: smile.
Next year we'll be staying elsewhere, and just get our...
