The grounds are beautiful and definitely good beer. If they have a band, don't expect quick service or your food to be hot if cooked by the time it gets to you. The way the owner treats his paying customers is when they have an issue despicable. If you get a growler make sure that the cap is not defective as you will not be getting reimbursement for all of the beer that spills out in your car. Instead, the owner will accuse you of lying because supposedly all of the Caps are the same and then he will accuse you of trying to get free beer. He's not interested in resolving disputes for his paying customers that have travel over an hour to go to his restaurant. The brisket burger is dry. And you can buy the bacon jam at Walmart that they serve on their burgers. He will not be getting any more of my business.
This review has been edited to reflect the owner labeling this review as spam due to using multiple names under Google. I have not used multiple names to review your restaurant under Google. It is my married name as opposed to my maiden name which was used under my Facebook account review which I have screenshots of that said you were going to label my Facebook review as spam when I did not respond immediately to your question. You then assessed my situation and said you would refund my money. I will consider your labeling a Spam a slander. I did not falsely review your restaurant using different identities other than myself. You then deleted your comment saying you would honor your commitment to giving me a full refund which I also have a screenshot of.
Aside from that, I am allowed to leave a review on whatever platform that is used to give reviews of your restaurant. That would also include Yelp, zagat or wherever else you are listed. Not spam, and I have no intention of removing any of the reviews on whatever platform I have left them on it the images in which you requested that I reconsider removing them on the review from Facebook. I never considered it to begin with.
You also use multiple identities. Whether it be Stephen McCarthy or The ponds restaurant or the "other owner" who is accountable because it can't be you taking the responsibility. I know! Maybe it bot mistreating the customers.😂 All of this because of a $25 growler and your unwillingness to hire more staff so that your other staff doesn't get burnout. Read moreI've tried to keep quiet about mine and my family's awful experience at this restaurant, but they have begun to personally attack friends on social media and I cannot let the behavior stand without sharing our experience. My family and I ate at this restaurant after a graduation because we wanted to try somewhere new. The poor waitress was so stressed out and seemed like she was being screamed at by the kitchen for making a "special" request for my mother in law. Apparently getting fettuccine in tomato sauce takes over an hour. Clearly the food is "fresh" and doesn't sit there in one pot all day. Instead of blaming the kitchen staff that was likely responsible for causing the waitress distress, the owner decided to come out and accuse our table and a nearby table of causing the waitress to cry. This wwas after the waitress had offered to pay for half of our meal out of her own pocket because the owner was too cheap to compensate us for our time. Read moreWe were there Friday night and we were having a great time till we had a complaint about some of our food and the owner came to our table and was beyond rude and totally unprofessional accusing us of making a waitress cry which was ridiculous because we were laughing and joking with them. Then after being rude to my daughter she removed herself from the scene and I told him he was full of it that no one at are table of 13 did anything to upset his staff. I complemented him on most of our meals that were good and told him he needed to apologize to my daughter. He took the bad meals of the bill but after looking at the Bill only one meal was removed and the free dessert he gave my daughter was terrible we tipped the waitress well but we won't be back needless to say.
