Howdy, hungry folks! I recently had the pleasure of chowing down at the Black Bear Bar & Grill in Minocqua, Wisconsin, and let me tell ya, it was a roaring good time! This bar and grill is a true gem, offering a delightful dining experience that'll satisfy even the heartiest appetites. The menu was as diverse as the Northwoods itself, with options ranging from juicy burgers to mouthwatering fish and chips options. I couldn't resist trying their signature Black Bear Burger, and boy, was it a beast of a burger! The flavors were on point, the patty was cooked to perfection, and the toppings were piled high. The atmosphere was rustic and cozy, with a log cabin charm that added to the dining experience. The staff was as friendly as a bear cub, ensuring that every guest felt welcome and well taken care of. And let's not forget about the drinks - their selection of craft beers and specialty cocktails was impressive, offering a little something for everyone. Whether you're a hungry hiker or a family looking for a satisfying meal, Black Bear Bar & Grill is the place to be. So come on down and satisfy your cravings in the heart of Minocqua. Roar with...

Great waitress for service out of the four people that were at my table 1 person injured the food I had a steak sandwich for 11.99 and was asked if I want mushrooms and onions cheese was never told it would cost me another 11 dollars the sandwich had no flavor asked for medium rare I got well done my friend had a bacon cheese burger he said his was over cooked my wife had stuffed tacos and she said there was no flavor so four basic orders sandwich orders and 4 sodas and we had a order of fried mushrooms and asked to substitute my fries with cheese curds it cost 78.90 for the four of us completely was a waste of money if the food would have had flavor and they were good portions of food I could see paying the prices but not for the poor quality of food my 11.99 steak sandwich turned into a 24.99 sandwich because of 50 cents worth of onion mushrooms and a slice of cheese and I was asked if I wanted it and not even warned of the high cost won't see me waste my money here again I will say the waitress was nice but I do think this place needs a cook and needs to get better flavor in there food if they want to over price add ons...

We stopped in with friends while visiting Mercer over a four day weekend and to say the least we weren't disappointed. Our first impression of the outside pulling up wasn't much... However, the inside is quite exceptional. Such a warm and cozy environment decorated with such detail. Dark woods ornamented with unique hand picked decorations fill the place. It was quite busy for a Saturday afternoon but there still was plenty of room for us to sit. We were seated near the back of the establishment and our server was quick to get us menus and to take our orders. The drinks came out relatively fast and were priced competitively with other similar establishments in the area. We went out back to check out the grounds persay and were surprised to find a creek and wooded area that added to the ambience of the place. We didn't eat there that day, but all agreed the food we saw both offered and being consumed at other tables looked delicious. We will definitely return the next...

Shannon was the world’s greatest bartender. She worked at the Black Bear Inn, a rustic facility up near Minocqua, WI that was loaded with taxidermy and fantastic paintings. The bar was always packed with locals and tourists alike who came to enjoy Shannon’s company and her amazing drinks. She had a way of making everyone feel welcome and at home. One day, a group of hunters came into the bar after a long day in the woods. They were tired and hungry, but Shannon knew just what to do. She whipped up some of her famous chili and served it with fresh bread and cold beer. The hunters were so grateful that they left her a huge tip. From that day on, Shannon became known as the “Chili Queen” of Minocqua. People came from all over just to taste her chili and enjoy her company. And the Black Bear Inn became one of the most popular bars in town.
