Update to last review... I appreciate the response and after calling the restaurant , it has all been resolved. I appreciate the timely response and great customer service. Thank you
I placed a catering order to be picked up on Aug 29th, I ordered wings and fettuccine Alfredo. The employee that took my order was nice and professional, she even took time to get a question answered for me. I ordered a full tray of wings that is priced at 55.00, my question was... can I get 2 flavors with the purchase of a full tray? The employee went to the back then came back to say, yes you can get 2 flavors so I ordered teriyaki and mild wings.
The day of pick up, there are two half tray of wings and I was charged 30.00 for each, so I said I asked when I placed the order can I order 2 flavors and was told yes and the order was written as a full tray, not 2 half trays. Another employee come over to explain that with two flavors they are not placed in the same tray as the flavors would mix. I didnt care about the flavors mixing and if I had been told that I could only get one flavor with a full tray then I would have ordered 1 flavor.
Nothing was done in regards to customers service, I received an apology ..sorry that I was given the wrong info. That’s great, I know its just 5.00 but its the principle and I expected to pay 55.00 for a full tray. I paid the inflated price, total of 120.00 and left, the wings had a good flavor but weren’t cleaned well, there were lots of feathers on some of the wings...gross. I live in the community and frequent this restaurant, but dont appreciate this level of service. I’m just asking for better...
Read moreTo say that my experience with Carmela’s tonight was poor would be an understatement. MY EXPERIENCE WAS HORRENDOUS.
I placed my order for two pizza pies, one cheese and one “Carmela’s pie” at 7:25pm. One pie was 14 inches and one was 16 inches. I paid for my order at the time the call was placed and was told the pie would be there to me in 40 minutes. The cost was slightly over $40 (considerably higher then any other pizza place around) and I asked the lady to give an extra $5 to the delivery guy. I received a call back from Carmela’s at 8:31pm to ask me how I want to pay for the additional $5 charge because I lived over 7 miles from their restaurant. Since I’ve already paid and I have guests over my house, I agree to pay the extra $5 in cash upon delivery of the pizza pies. The pies were not delivered until 8:55pm. The pies were also cold. When all was said and done I researched the distance from my house to their restaurant and it turns out I only live 6.2 miles from their location.
In summation:
My advise: cut the cost by 30% and double the quality & taste of the pizza by going to Tosco’s in Wallkill...
Read moreUnfortunately extremely disappointed in the service. My family and I came in for dinner. We were seated by 5:40pm The bread was burnt and the tail end of a loaf. The waitress seemed nice enough and took our order. A family behind us ate and left, a couple next to us ate and left as well. Our food never came to the table until 5 mins to 7pm. While an older couple seated after us had already received their meal. When my family asked why it has taken so long we were told well they have a lot of delivery tags that they’re doing. I had to have my dinner boxed as my son was growing restless now. My parents orders came out cold, the manager or woman we were speaking to said she could ask the kitchen to cook the orders again. Why? To give them more work on top of a night they apparently already cannot handle? And to have my family wait another hour and a half for a meal again? No. That’s ridiculous. My son and I took our food to go home. If you are going to focus more on delivery than the seated guests do not offer seating. I work in customer care and this was beyond upsetting. Sometimes you fall in over your head, yes. But you always communicate and improve where you can. Everyone understands when a place is busy, but we looked for someone to speak to several times with no luck. We waited patiently and I wish the experience had...
