Sid's Place — Restaurant in Town of Morristown

My husband and I were on a road trip to Canada and were looking for a spot to stop for a very late lunch. We had already had a bad experience earlier that day at breakfast and again when we stopped for our first lunch (I didn't end up eating much of the food so I was very hungry at 4pm). I was so hesitant to stop at another place just to be disappointed. I saw this place had really good reviews but not many of them so I wasn't sure about it but my husband convinced me to give it a chance. Wow, was I glad he did! The ambiance inside is so cute and has a cozy feel to it. The outside seating area is great especially on beautiful sunny days. The woman who took care of us (I assume to be the owner) was so sweet and caring. She made it feel like my mom was serving us, in the best way. I had such a good feeling as soon as we sat down. My husband got a beer with a frosty cold glass so he was instantly happy. I got the fried fish sandwich with Mac and cheese and coleslaw. Every single part of it was delicious. The fish was perfectly fried and the batter was so yummy, not too thick but not so thin that it was falling apart. The Mac and cheese was definitely homemade and so yummy. The coleslaw was a mix between mayo and vinegar and honestly, the best I've ever had behind my mom's (I mean I have to say that it's not as good as my mom's, right?). I could literally have just eaten a giant bowl of the coleslaw. My husband got a burger which was cooked exactly how he wanted so he was super happy and sweet potato fries that were so good. We had such a wonderful experience visiting Sid's Place and I would highly recommend checking them out. Stopping here honestly turned our whole (bit of a bummer) day around! Cathy or Kathy unsure what way it's spelt is an absolute sweetheart. The wings are great especially the garlic parm! Best garlic parm wings I've ever had and I've eaten alot of different places wings. Pizza is decent for the price. Over all I would definitely be willing to make this a permanent spot for a once a week thing once I'm more settled...
