Went there again tonight and had A Hamburger & 🍟 .My Husband had a cheeseburger & 🍟 . Everything thing was great. Took some breadsticks to go. The Only Bummed Out Thing Is They Need To Update Their Menu Online. Because They Don't Have A Couple of Things Anymore. Like The Cheese Garlic Bread Anymore 😞 & They Don't Have On The Menu The Big Pretzel. They Also Don't Have The Loaded Potato Skins ( really wanted to try them). Also NO Loaded Fries or TaterTots. Like I Said they need to take off a couple of things that they no longer have. They need to add all the great food they now offer.

One last little note: The Cook Wade Is A Awesome Cook. Also A Very Nice Person. Very Rare Do You See The Cook In Restaurant/Bar But He Trys To Make It A Point To Come Out Of the Kitchen (if not too busy since he's the only one in the kitchen. So he also has to do all the dishes too) & Walk Around Asking The Customers That Ordered Any Food Item How It Was.

So Next Time Your Out In That Neck Of The Woods/ Or Near There & You Would Love Some Great Food With Great Prices, Stop In And Pull Up A Seat & Order Something Also You Can Have A Drink, Play A Game Or Two Of Pool, Play Some Pull Tabs & Last But Not Lease They Have The Video Gambling Machines. Maybe You Just Get Lucky Besides Having A Great Meal You Could Walk Away With Some Extra $$ From Possibly Winning on Pull Tabs, Video Gambling Machines... Or Walk Away Meeting an Alot Of Nice New People. They Have Always Made Us Feel More Than Just A Number. More Like Friends. This is a rough around the edges country bar. Nothing fancy, music loud at times, no frills. I am not a “regular” but have dined here numerous occasions over the past ten years.

I have never had bad or rude service here. If it is crazy busy, you will wait. This (Friday) evening went for fish fry. Went early, 515, got place at bar. Got served right away, country bar Chardonnay was good as was frosty mug of Spotted Cow. Limited choices of fish fry: all you can eat haddock ($16), two pieces walleye ($14.50), and shrimp basket ($12.50), as well as fish sandwich ($7, $8.50 with side).

Ordered walleye and shrimp. Both came out quickly, were very good. Very light breading, cleanly fried, not greasy. Side of tater tots good, potato salad fresh as was coleslaw. Very good, one of the best fish fries in the area.

On other occasions I have had hamburgers and cheeseburgers, breasted chicken (Thursday and Saturday nights), patty melt and Reuben. Even had a huge breakfast burrito once. All of these meals were very good bordering on excellent.

My recommendation is be prepared for a country bar. This is not one of the upscale places you find near Silver Lake. This is not fine dining with white linen tableclothes. But the food quality is at least as good, if not better, at a much lower price...

Absolutely Disappointed – Never Again!

We waited over 20 minutes at the bar without being served. One of the employees—likely the owner—handed us a menu, then turned his back to us while hanging out with his buddies, refilling their drinks and showing them pictures on his phone. He looked right at us several times and blatantly ignored us. It felt like being back in high school with how childish and clique-y the behavior was.

My husband even tried to flag down a waitress to let her know we were ready to order—she looked him straight in the eye and just kept walking like we didn’t exist. Unbelievable.

We finally walked out. The same group, including the employee, laughed like it was some kind of joke. That attitude says it all.

What’s sad is we’ve been here before and actually enjoyed it, but multiple people warned us this kind of thing happens if you’re not a drunk regular. They were absolutely right.
