Tim and Robin’s Trading Post — Restaurant in Town of Mount Morris

Today 9/1/2024 my family & I went to the trading post for lunch. I will admit they were busy . While waiting for our food I noticed every time the kitchen staff brought out food they had to ask the customers if this was their order. So when our order came for 6 people the same thing happened after all of our food arrived I mentioned to our waitress they should put numbers on the tables so they would know where to go with the food. The next thing I know is our waitress's mother comes out & says sir while you are enjoying your weekend we are doing our best to serve you very snooty like. Then after that we didn't get any service until we were done eating. Then the waitress brought out a few boxes & the bill . Our bill was $127.27 & I paid $150.00 with tip even though my wife & kids only wanted to leave a $5.00 tip. My point is this all I tried to do is help them out with a suggestion. I don't care what her problem was today but a paying customer should never be talked to that way by the staff. With the amount of people there today the waitress's should have made a killing in tips . But treating customers like we were treated will stop us from...

Never been in before. Out driving the countryside and found this gem.

Stopped right before 8pm with my wife. Was told long wait time but could order an appetizer to help the hunger for now.

Orders were coming out quick as was our appetizer order,cheese curds tasted fresh, not crunchy frozen type.

Both of us ordered cod, seriously the best fried cod I have ever had, fries were great too, hell the whole meal was awesome.

Food not greasy or over cooked. Wife enjoyed the potato salad with her fish as well.

With our 2 meals, 1 appetizer and her drink order(old fashioned) total bill was just over $37, way cheaper then if we had dined out near our home, 3 hours south.

Hats off to the staff and kitchen staff

We had the worst experience today.

Had an appetizer of boneless wings 8.50 on the menu, charged 9.50. When I brought it up, she looked like I was crazy.

They asked what sauce we wanted with our wings. Then we were charged an additional .75 cents. When asked, she said sauce isn't included even though I pointed out on the menu it didn't say that. (Sauce choices were right with the wings)

Ordered a small pizza, half mushrooms. They bring out a large, and we were charged for the large. No rhyme or reason to the mushrooms. I had to pick thru pizza to find pieces without, and even had to pick some off. YUCK! When she asked how our food was, I showed her all the 🍄. Never took anything of the cost of the pizza.
