Kelly's Thirsty Buck Saloon — Restaurant in Town of Mountain

If I could give this place 10 stars I would. For everything. The fish fry (perch) was amazing, but the atmosphere was even better. My girlfriend and I are celebrating our one year anniversary and decided to stay in Mountain, WI. Mostly as a means to just get away and take a break. We went to Kelly’s on a whim, just needing a quick and wholesome dinner. We did not expect the care and kindness we would receive. Sure, service is important, but this was beyond good service. My girlfriend and I have struggled with dirty looks, alarmed glances, and snide remarks in several places we have been. This was not that place. Rand-ell, the owner Kelly’s husband, was a lovely man and reassured us several times this was a safe environment for us and we were accepted with no questions asked. it wasnt even busy it was two tables one of 5 and then our table who sat at different times. it took 40 minutes to get our DRINKS not exaggerating. our food came out like 15 min before we even got drinks. i asked for a side of pickles and the waitress rolled her eyes at me. i didnt even get them. she was extremely rude and aggressive. i assume she was the owner because she wrote “kelly” under the servers name on the bill. so if shes treating her customers who pay to eat at HER restaurant then i cant imagine how she treats her employees. at the end there was NO ONE at the bar and we asked for a single shot. she went crazy saying no because if she did one then the rest of us would want one. okay? there was NO ONE at the bar. plus you had a bartender there who couldve done it. the food was okay wasnt really wow...

I'm a vegan and in this neck of the woods it can be hard to find good food besides a basic salad. I ordered a mushroom swiss burger minus the beef and cheese, add tomatoes blah blah blah. Waiter suggested a Philly type sandwich without the meat and cheese. It was sooooooo good! So good in fact, that I called them back (we had take out) to thank them and suggest they put it on the menu for future vegetarians/vegans that come through. I hope they do!
