We stopped at Morning Glory this week while on vacation. This was a cute little restaurant with a very friendly staff. our group of 10 had to be seated outside, which wasn't a problem at all. They had a wide variety to choose from. My kids enjoyed what was on the kids menu. Outside of my sandwich falling apart and getting all over my beard (lol), id say the visit was quite enjoyable. Our food was order and made pretty quick, with a few minor things missing. Nothing to complain about, we were a rather large group. Morning Glory Staff - Thank you so much for showing us kindness on our last day of our family vacation. Should we find ourselves in the area again we will surely stop to enjoy another visit. Keep up the great work!

We came for breakfast on a Sunday morning-- definitely worth the wait! We had the sunrise quesadilla and hashbrown omelet. The food was fresh and delicious! Fluffy eggs, potatoes done just right-- crisp but not burnt. The food quality was very high considering how busy they were! Good coffee too-- reg and decaf. The service was amazing-- we were impressed how the servers took care of so many tables! We would recommend the management looks into some type of waiting notification system so people don't have to wait inside the restaurant and they know when it's their turn to be seated. It can be uncomfortable with so many people standing around in such a small space. All in all, we would highly recommend this spot! Great job!

I really want to give this place higher marks. It certainly rates high in coziness, staying away from tourists, getting to know locals. I would suggest sitting at counter if you can. It was just that the food is not so good. The breakfast was a good value and you can choose a pancake or French toast. We got one of each and split them as you can see by the picture. Unfortunately, the sausages were so salty I couldn’t finish them. Eggs were just so so as well as the French toast and pancake. Service was wonderful and friendly. Again I would like to rate them higher, but it really is a three star, but don’t let that stop you from checking this place out. Just don’t expect gourmet food but a great value and good time.

EDIT

Two years later and it's amazing how a restaurant can change for the worse. I'm fair and unbiased when I post a review.

7.1.18

How hard is to cook crisp bacon? It's not the first time I have had to send my squealing bacon back to the grill. In fact, it has become habit and I'm tired of asking.

No air conditioning on a hot day. What is this, like 1950 something? I don't mind the heat, but when the food goes south so do I.

Is it worth complaining directly to management or the owner? Not really because it's not rocket science. Breakfast is pretty simple, especially when I order a waffle, scrambled egg dry, and crisp bacon. Almost too easy, but recently it has become a challenge barely worthy of my hard earned dollars.

There's zero consistency and it's to the point I'll stay home or go to McDonalds down the road.

Two years ago I said:

Deserves nothing less than ten stars! Absolutely perfect!

Sit at the counter and you'll see one of the cleanest kitchens in the country. You'll observe a young clean cut cook wash his hands more than once after he completes a meal. Look around and you'll see the employees take great pride maintaining a clean environment.

Fifties style uniforms with old school service. Never once had to ask for a coffee refill. Food was delicious! Busy and filled with plenty of locals, but the servers never skipped a beat.

Put this one on the long list of favorites! Thanks for...

We are from Illinois and we were going to head up to White-gull inn for breakfast but it was out of the way! So we decided to try this place! The food was so fresh and hot! The coffee was a little lighter then I prefer but smooth! My boyfriend loved it though! The waitress and staff was great! Love the team work! Both waitress filled our coffees and asked if everything was ok! Food was great and cooked well! In Illinois it’s hard to find a great breakfast place anymore their omelette are like footballs and Morning glory makes them fresh! On our way back home I also notice I left my iPhone we had to turn back! Thank goodness they are honest people it’s hard to find them anymore! Our waitress noticed me right away and said hey you...
