The Cove is a great little supper club. It is a unassuming little building from the front but you walk in and their is a classic dark bar with low ceilings, a fish tank, and a happy crowd. Walk thru the bar and check in for your table. The dining area overlooks a nice little stream. The menu has various steaks, fish (walleye, haddock, cod, perch, with a great tartar) salads, pizza, burgers, plus specialties like jambalaya. We have tried most and they are all good. Each comes with potatoes (wide variety of choice like hash browns, loaded, fries, etc). Their soup are good and salad is pretty standard. We struggled for which app to start with between walleye cheeks or stuffed mushrooms; both are good. From they bar, their old fashioned were very go though I don't think they were muddled. Like any good Wisconsin supper club, they had ice cream drinks to finish and we found them to be very tasty. This a classic Small town supper club and we will definitely be back.

We had an order of the Angler's Platter and Walleye Cheeks. One of the choice of sides is Potato Pancakes, so that's what we ordered. The meal also included a salad or soup. I ordered the Spinach salad with dressing on the side. My companion ordered the Corn Chowder with (fake) Crab. First, the salad and soup came in a timely manner. However, my dressing was on the salad, not on the side as ordered. The entree's also came in a timely manner. The platter was to have haddock, shrimp, perch, walleye checks and shrimp. There was one wall cheek in the mix. My Walleye Cheeks looked like fried potatoes and we're over fried and a little tough. Believe me, if you have had cheeks done right, they are very tender! Both of us were disappointed in the Potato Pancakes. They were basically frozen hash browns that had egg added then fried. Too thick. You can definitely tell the difference between real fried potatoes and previously frozen. We won't rush back.

We enjoyed our meal at The Cove Supper Club last Friday night. We had a group of 12 with 6 couples. Just know ahead of time one bill is coming and you’ll have to divide up your receipt. Our waitress did tell us that ahead of time. She did a very nice job of waiting on us. She was friendly and prompt. Most of us ordered some type of fish or seafood dinner. Mine was blackened shrimp with a loaded back potatoe. My husband had cod and said it was some of the best cod he ever had! All portions were large and very delicious. We usually try to make it to The Cove at least once a summer. It truly is your old supper club atmosphere and locals favorite.

Update 5/29/23 Restaurant under new ownership. We tried the nightly specials. I had the quarter checken with coleslaw and potato pancakes. I liked the fried checken because it wasn't too bready. Just a light covering. The potato pancakes haven't changed. Not very good. Appetizer of the Walleye Cheeks was as good as I remembered. Service was good and servers were friendly!

old review We both had the Bluegill fish fry. I had mine with potato pancakes and my friend had hers with garlic mashed potatoes. Both dishes had Cole slaw. We ordered Walleye Cheeks as an appetizer and a cup of Corn Chowder. We also received two rye rolls. Overall, not allot of flavor in any of the dishes. The coleslaw had an after taste that I couldn't quite make out. It was like tasting something fatty and a little sour. Didn't taste fresh. The rolls- looked great and we're warm. But they were very doughy in your mouth even though they were done. The soup - not very flavorful. The Bluegill - fried, crunchy and again not seasoned well. The Walleye Cheeks - of all of the food, I liked these best. A little chewy, but at least I could taste the fish. Service was very good. We were welcomed when we entered. Service was timely (all though the waitress did not check for refills of water) and we were out in...
