On our way from North Carolina to Maine via Ithaca, we stopped in after a long day of traveling. My wife immediately knew this was going to be a great place to eat due to the walk in traffic and the constant ringing of the phone. And she was right.

The interior layout is kinda odd, but do yourself a favor, forget about it, and enjoy food prepared with love!

She ordered a Greek salad (fresh with no yellowing or wilting) and I, the fried chicken sandwich. The owner came out with two cups and said, "You guys looked hungry. Try this potato and jalapeno soup." We were hungry, and the soup was amazing!

Our food came, and reminded us of our favorite fare from a restaurant in Wake Forest that recently closed. We were right at home.

The owner appears at our table again, asking how the food was, chatting about the town, when he says, "You guys like mac and cheese? I just made a seafood mac you should try." I was getting full, and was, well... And my wife interrupted, grinned and said, "Yes please!" Great again!

Were we locals, I feel like we'd eat here on a regular basis. Unpretentious food prepared with heart. It's clear the owner loves what he does...

Oh my goodness! What an amazing place! Wish we hadn't waited so long to try it! As soon as we walked in we were greeted and offered menus. There were so many options, it was hard to decide! (But they were very patient with us!) When we'd finally decided, we ordered at the counter. Drink coolers were available in the back, so we grabbed some drinks to have with our food. Being overwhelmed with awesome options, we tried a few things... Mac and cheese to share, with the intention of taking some home. I'm sure you'll guess that none of it made it home... We finished it while we waited for the other food. During that time, the owner came over and introduced himself- a genuinely nice guy who demonstrates enthusiasm for both his business and the community. He seemed appreciative of our business, too! Next up was a huge cheeseburger and a fresh turkey sub. They were cooked/made perfectly! We did end up taking half the sub home, and later finished off the leftovers. If you haven't checked this place out, I highly recommend it! Great food...

Haven't given a food review because frankly I'm scared to eat here. The cooler doors are all broken (as in they don't shut tightly) the prices for the average convenience store are much higher than just down the road. And they have a $10 minimum on credit card use. The place looks dirty and has a dirty feel. Perhaps some paint and a face lift are needed. Honestly this could be made into a quant little spot if a quick cheap trip to Lowe's or home Depot was made. It's as if the owner doesn't care. I think they forget that there's a very nice convenience store with decent food which is bright and clean just around the corner. If I were you I'd skip the trip and head to Smiley's. Shameful that Foreigners are doing it better thanks a country store for Americans by Americans. Maybe we'll give then time to clean up their act and give a better review. But I don't see...

Hidden Gem Alert!! Do not pass this place up. We ordered a large pepperoni pizza, at a great price I may add! And a BLT with fries. My family looooved the pizza. The crust and sauce were perfect and they add plenty of cheese and pepperoni. The BLT was loaded with bacon and made exactly the way I wanted it and the veggies on it were all very fresh. The sandwich way to big to finish it myself so bring an appetite or a friend! The best part was the hospitality of the young woman taking our order and the wonderful and talented man making our food. They made us feel like we had been coming there for years. Wish we could visit more often..if only we didn't live 6 hours away lol

Outstanding eatery/mini-mart right next to the Newfield Bridge! The gentleman at the counter was courteous and very friendly. The food, of which we tried the burgers, was so good! And we were told on Saturdays after 5pm they have an offering of prime rib. It is well worth a stop if you are on the roadway from Corning to Ithaca.
