We had lunch here last week, the following day we had to go try breakfast, and this week we went back for breakfast before the big rush they get. People this place is a Jem, Diamond in the ruff. Having a background in the food industrie. And being a foodie. I like to think I know good food. I'll start with the BBQ. This is authentic smoked BBQ. The brisket is mouthwatering, melt in your mouth love. Just like the Brisket, The pulled pork is on par with some of the best BBQ places in the country, That we have been to. Then you have the sandwich creations offered, and again just pure love put into each plate. Now will go to the Bakery side. Immediately the baked goods will catch your eye. The offerings are creative and mind bending. cruffin(crescent muffin) filled with cream, rum raisin pinwheel, cookies, tarts. One bite of any and you know the highest quality ingredients are being used. Excellent cold brew coffee, and tea. The area is blessed to have this establishment. And can't forget the 5 star service. Love this place and so should...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreLove this place. The bbq and the bakery. Seems to jut be 2 people running it. No sure if they a couple but they make a hell of a team. Their bbq sauce has a uniquely delicious taste. The mustard sauce is also great. Solid mac n cheese. Gotta get it while it's warm though. Was told the slaw is 'European style'. I'm not sure what that means but I enjoyed it. Cornbread is worth the cost. They do these pickled things that I love. Have no idea what they are. Can't say as I care. Tried the brisket and pulled pork. Both are fantastic. Think thy do breakfast sandwiches but I've never tried em. The bakery side is equally impressive. Usually get chocolate chip or peanut butter cookies and my mother loves to steal em from me. Very visually appealing. I cannot recommend this place enough. Great hidden hole in the wall. An absolute must try if you're in the area or want to...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreA BBQ restaurant that isn't open on a Friday night...? Especially when you drive a half hour to get there? Granted we should have checked online first... however... you serve bakery items and BBQ... Tell me "assuming " they'd be open at 5;00pm on a Friday is something you would even question? I have worked in the service industry for 25 years and if you aren't open on peak days at peak hours when u sell something most people aren't even close to being interested in until then you aren't in business long in my experience. Too bad because I won't even TRY to come here again in the fear they'll just "be closed" So disappointing bc we have no BBQ in ithaca anymore. My husband and I are huge foodies and love trying new places. But will not try driving...
