Me and a big group went here for lunch. We saw our server maybe twice. She messed up multiple orders and had a hard time understanding simple modifications. Some people got the wrong fries. She never asked if we wanted separate checks, mind you we were a group of 7, so when we asked before we went to pay she said that we could have done separate checks if WE had asked as we orderedâŠwe asked if we could re-ring the order in and pay separate and the waitress said no because there was only one other server working(tip:dont schedule 2 serves for a Saturday lunch). Her solution to this issues was to take our separate cards and only charge a certain amount on each, at this point I donât think the waitress would be able to even remember whoâs card is whoâs or what to even charge each card. Yea the food was good but whatâs good food without good service, might as well eat at home. Our check ended up being $174 instead of each person getting their own check. The poutine wasnât really poutine, potato wedges, sweet sauce??, maybe gravy and deep friend cheese curd. We arenât that far from Canada I think we all know what poutine is supposed to be like. I couldnât even finish any of my food because I was just fed up with being there. By the end of the meal I had three plates of fried(after my order was already messed up) and a wrap that wasnât even made right because asking for only lettuce and ranch in my Buffalo chicken wrap was just too confusing for the waitress. Iâve worked as a serve for three years and never have I had an order messed up like this that wasnât followed up with an apology and discount. If youâre short staffed just say so and apologize for the inconvenience but we didnât even get that. The pics are the âpoutineâ and all the food I left because it wasnât worth taking home. Waste of my...
Read moreIt's a pretty popular place to eat and hang out. The food is great...if you can get a table. They don't take reservations, so it's first come, first serve. There wasn't a hostess when we walked in, so we looked around and waited for someone to seat us. It was extremely crowded, both the bar and dining area, but we finally got someone's attention. They told us there wasn't anything available yet, so we waited. As we did this, we looked around and saw so much wasted space. Space that could've been filled with more tables and chairs. Instead, there was a pool table and foosball table in the middle of the dining area that was full of people eating. Those games definitely don't bring in as much money as tables full of hungry, thirsty people. There was also a table being used solely for a large Jenga game that nobody was playing....no money in that either. They have a small separate dining area that, in my opinion, would serve better as a game room. If they would move their games in there, they could add a bunch more tables and chairs to accommodate more hungry people in the other area, and thus, make a ton more money. I would think that would be a big goal for them. All that being said, it really is a nice place to go...if you can...
Read moreAs with all restaurants, food and drink prices have increased the past couple years. However, the Alamo prices have increased much more than other central New York restaurants. But what's really gone downhill with the Alamo is the quality of the food. This was a place I would go to fairly often, even with a 25 minute drive passing many local quality restaurants on the way. The prices, the food and the atmosphere separated this place from others. You would have to get there by 5 PM on weeknights if you wanted a seat. Today I arrived after 5 PM and there were plenty of open seats. Based on how empty it was there this evening, my guess is that I'm not the only one who feels they have priced their customers out especially while the food quality has gotten much worse. Unfortunately I will not know if they can return this restaurant to where it was since I will not...
