Bubbaloos — Restaurant in Town of Newstead

Just went in here to TRY to get food and every single table was disgusting and dirty. The girls at the counter were just chatting. I asked why there wasn't a single clean table (only one customer in there eating), they said "we'll get to it" and did nothing. I guess that's the new entitled generation where they expect to get paid just for showing up and doing nothing. My husband bought ice cream and I made him leave before getting it because the place is so gross in the customer area I can't imagine what it's like in the back.

I grew up in akron so I know all the alleged rumors about this man who hires young girls here. We stopped at Bubbaloos drive-in restaurant recently for an early dinner while shopping in the area. Friendly people at the counter wait patiently while you figure out what to order from the menu selections. Seating is a bit limited inside, but they have lots of seating outside, which we took advantage of on a beautiful summer Saturday afternoon. You place our orders at the counter inside and they'll bring your food out to your table. We ordered a turkey burger, a Bubba Burger, two orders of fries, and two pops. Fifteen minutes later, they delivered the food to our table outside. They were moderately busy when we stopped there around 4 PM. The food was good, and our total bill with tax was just over $27. Used to go there 60+years ago when the original owners ran it. It had changed hands several times over the years, however, each owner, while giving it their own personalization, have basically kept the establishment pretty much original. Recognized the place as soon as I walked in the door. One important note, they accept CASH ONLY for payment, no credit or debit cards. They do have an ATM inside for your convenience. Prices are reasonable, portions good sized and the food is delicious. Excellent large selection of Perry's Ice Cream also.
