I wanted to love this restaurant. It looks fun, love the decor and Chautaqua definitely needs a fresh new restaurant . The first time we went was right at opening at 10:00 am on a Sunday. My family of four went in, stood in the entryway with not one, not two, but three employees standing behind the bar not even acknowledging we were there. After several minutes what looked like a manager with brown hair asked us if we wanted to be seated. We sat down and then waited for another 10 minutes for a server to come over. There were no other customers in the restaurant at the time. A server came over and she said “let me see who is serving you” goes to the back to the kitchen then says “I guess it’s me.” Meanwhile the manager has been sitting at the bar not even noticing no one has come to serve the table. Thankfully the rest of this experience ended well. We got our food and drinks. The food was fine, we had the breakfast pizza, eggs and lobster roll. and the Frozee’ was something my DIL raved about. With some reservations we went back for dinner tonight. This experience put me over the edge to write this review. My same group went to dinner, my DIL looking forward to the Frozee’, everyone in good spirits. We are greeted with the same brown haired manager who seemed annoyed we didn’t have a reservation. We didn’t know you could make them or they require them. There was a seat out side in the little side patio, she offered it and we were fine with it. We sat down, again waited a long time for anyone to greet us but we didn’t mind because we were talking. Our server comes take our drinks: two diet cokes, ice tea and the Frozee’. Another 10 minutes goes by and she comes back with water for the table. No drinks. We wait another 10 -minutes she comes back to get our order. Then another 10 minutes , maybe more when someone else brings out the bottled cokes and a half melted Frozee’. No ice tea. I didn’t say anything figuring I’ll just drink the water. Appetizer of hummus comes out. It’s really not like a hummus but a watery dip. Very sweet. The pita was very good. We then wait around 30-45 minutes. I get an ice tea after my son asked for it. The table of 3 behind us arrived about 15 minutes after we sat down had gotten their food and was eating. The server could see we were starting to get irritated. She stated that the kitchen had burnt my son’s chicken and they are making a new plate. They also were remaking our food. This would have been nice to know before we got irritated. There was no apology, it was just kind of like “sorry tough luck.” Finally the food comes out… please see picture below. The chicken that was supposed to have been burnt and remade was charred…. It was so laughable my son couldn’t help but say “this is the remake?” The server, who we know does not make the food, was like yeah. Like no big deal it's literally burnt to a crisp. My husband’ s salmon was ok, it had popcorn as a topping which was different. My filet was rare- medium rare and supposed ro be medium. For a total of $165 for dinner, I would say this was one of the worst experiences we’ve had in a long time. I can take the Lack of service because of the lack of help and how thin servers are stretched but what I do not think is acceptable is food that is poor quality and served anyway with a “who cares” attitude. There should have been a manager visit showing some concern, some acknowledgment of the situation. They should have taken that chicken off the bill and if I was the server there would have been no way in hell I would have served it after I told the customer we were remaking it because it was burnt. Bottom line: not worth the price or the experience. The aesthetics are the only good thing about...

Where to begin…. Overall there is a HUGE disparity between front and back end service. My experience… Had reservations for a Saturday @ 6:30 for a party of 4. Informed by the host our table was not available but assigned us a new table and handed us menus with the instructions to seat ourselves. We waited almost 20 minutes for the server to appear and ask if we were ready to order. No intro, no specials, no drinks or apps offered. We declined to order food immediately and requested drinks. One watery Bloody Mary, one incorrect cocktail and one beer served after another 15 minutes. The expresso martini which I ordered and came after a staggering 30 minutes was very good. On to the meal… overall good food BUT we ordered 3 chicken limone and a burger. Two of the chicken dinners were fine one was pink and fibrous. When brought to the server’s attention she requested the bloody piece to let the chef view it then came back sans the piece went but informed me that chicken is supposed to be pink at the legs. I informed the server that I have been cooking for over 50 years and that pink chicken is absolutely not okay. I also pointed out that by that standard the other two chicken dinners were drastically over cooked. I was offered a new meal but at this point we were over an hour into the experience and to have to wait and eat another 30 minutes after my party was not an option. Instead of offering to comp the meal which was only 50% edible, we were presented with a bill and no mention of the inedible chicken or the abysmal service. This establishment has lots of growing pains … where was the manager? The owner? Who is in charge? The service was a zero. Inattentive, incompetent, and down right unacceptable unless you are eating in a McDonalds. Why has the staff not been trained? The server was clearly inexperienced and very young. That is fine but mentorship is needed. Not her fault. This place will sink quickly if quality does not improve.

Post review: I have been back and now that this restaurant is more established the service is definitely more put together. Food is...

I know I will be in the minority. Wonderful staff and an awesome waiter. The food. Well. Not great. I had a Caesar Salad with salmon. The Salad was not to my liking. WAY too many croutons. I was herding them to the side. Dressing was not memorable, neither was the salmon. Altogether undressed, and a bit dry. The one white anchovy filet was tasty. I would have liked more. The picture of the salad was def.not mine, but from another diner. Mind you I'm very particular, but I have had Caesar salads at 4 star restaurants, and diners, and I always have a Caesar on my first trip to an eatery. Based on this salad, I would not return. I dined with two friends, one had spaghetti squash with a mushroom ragout, which was so over powered with garlic that she pushed it aside. (I tasted it, love garlic, and agreed. They had ordered an appetizer, which I didn't try, which she ate as her entre. Delicious wood oven fried pita bread and a dip. (I forget what.) Very tasty, especially the pita. I did have a very nice glass of Sauv. Blanc which dulled my pain. $60 including tip. Somewhere else maybe, but not in Chautauqua county. Maybe a steak or lobster of some other wonderful thing would have been better, but alas. I'll only return to exchange banter with our waiter, and maybe have a...

Gluten and soy-free diner here. I stumbled across their Google page a few days ago while looking for a restaurant to dine at on a Sunday evening in Mayville. What an unbelievable dining experience! Matt, Morgan and Mike, M3 (cubed)! Matt and Morgan are the hands-on, and Mike is the executive chef. What a team, and what attention to detail. My blushing bride tried their filet mignon and it was melt in your mouth medium rare! She topped it with scallops, and they were crispy on the outside and tender on the inside. I tried the salmon, and it was moist yet flaky, and the truffle popcorn was tasty. My best friend and his fiancée tried the burger and rigatoni with meatball, and both raved about their dishes. Mike was kind enough to allow my wife to taste test his chocolate and raspberry cake, and she thoroughly enjoyed it! Finally, a big thank you to Richard who was our waiter for the meal. We had several specific dietary/meal preparation needs, and he did not blink an eye. It is hard to believe that they only have been open for 3 weeks. Thus, please do your part and support these local restauranteurs because we will be coming back to the area specifically to dine here.
