The Creek — Restaurant in Town of North Salem

Just visited The Creek and it was great. The new owners have really improved the place while also making it more affordable and enjoyable. The bar was welcoming for a pre-dinner cocktail with a great ambiance and room for larger or smaller groups. TVs and music mixed nicely and did not overpower conversation along with a very attentive bar staff. Our group tonight were meat eaters and we were not disappointed. We started with a Burrata and Prosciutto which was to die for and also shared some great Crab & Shrimp Dumplings, Eggplant Rollatini and a Cheese Plate. Both the Rib Eye and NY Strip were delicious all the sauces were wonderful but try the truffle butter it was outstanding. Service was very attentive and helpful and always seemed to be there with a smile when you needed them. I happend to notice some great burgers coming out of the kitchen and plan to try one on my next visit. They claimed this was a soft opening but you wouldn't have know it and I expect with their attention to detail the new owners will really make this a great...

Been going there since 2005 when it was the old owners. Up until recently the food was great. Brought to the owner Chris attention several times that we had two bad meals nothing changed. On the third visit to Creek that we got poor quality food meaning tough fatty filet mignon we told the server we weren't coming back. After thinking about it for a month, we missed the place and called and spoke to the owner saying we're upset that we paid for three bad meals in the last few months. We'd like to come back but you have to do some quality control. Chris the owners reply was, "we made a scene complaining about our food and there's nothing he would do for us". The Night he is referring to there was one other table in the restaurant, which is the typical situation there because the food quality is gone down. We met a friend for a Sunday hang out. Sat at the bar with the awesome Fernando who took great care of us! His exceptional service is quiet, efficient, and, when you get to know him a bit, he's fun and funny, too!

The ladies shared the "Creek Sampler" and they thoroughly enjoyed the selection of tasty treats.

I had a shrimp cocktail, served with nice, large-sized shrimps, and the NY Strip. Reading the menu, I had the sense the steak would be great and I was right! My steak was perfectly done to my request, nice char on the outside, very tasty. One of the gals had the tacos, which she enjoyed, but was sad she couldn't order a proper sauce besides tobasco.
