Wagon Wheel — Restaurant in Town of Oak Grove

We walked In at 4:35pm... Walking in to this place we were not greeted. There was 2 bartenders working and 5 people at the bar. One was the owner of this place.(she filled her personal cup with alcohol and lemonade twice. And one more to go.then left.) They’re was 9 of us to eat, five kids and 4 adults. Our waitress came over and got drink orders. we ordered our food @4:50pm— We ordered - pizza smoked sausage and sauerkraut, pizza fry, and three burgers, chicken strips, and chicken nuggets. We waited forever we tried so hard to keep the kids entertained. so many times we wanted to walkout. The kids were starving at this point and tired. Sick of waiting and having to sit. (By 5:45pm the bar emptied) Our waitress came over twice in this waiting period to ask if we needed refills on drinks.

(We walked to the back looked through the kitchen window and the food was sitting on the counter and she was just putting fryer food in..) The food finally came out at 7:10pm. As she was serving the food she had an attitude with us. She was not pleasant with us.)* We asked if we could put in a order to go or if that to would take to long of a wait. She replied with if you need someone to blame, blame him for ordering pizza that’s what took so long.

• food* the pizza was over cooked the crust was hard and edges were burnt the cheese was black, the pizza fry was also hard and over cooked, the three burgers were under cooked and very pink.. The chicken strips tasted old. The nuggets were ok..

Im so disappointed in this place the customer service. The food the timing. I’m disappointed that the owner didn’t stay to allow the other bartender to cook the food in a good time. I’m extremely disappointed that the lady wanted to say that it was his fault for ordering pizza. If I could give this place no stars I would. This place doesn’t deserve anything. If you go here expect a long wait time and to be ignored.except to be the blame of your choice of food taking the longest time. Did not offer any sympathy or apology nothing. We only went here for my in-laws being in town we cook for a living, this is...

I stopped here on my Ice Age trail Thru-Hike because I wasn't in a good mood and was hopeful that a burger and beer would cheer me up. It's hard to choose my wording when describing the Wagon Wheel. I want to say it's the best place ever but I don't think that is enough superlatives to describe it so I'll say it's the "bestest" place ever. My work has taken me to places I never thought I'd go. Tonight was one of those places. I asked Siri for nearby restaurants and read the list to my wife. Jodi recommended the Wagon Wheel. I'm usually a stay-in-the-box kind of guy, but this small-town spot was a new experience. When I walked in, everyone stared, and a few asked if I was from around there.
