Great food, better service! Whether you're looking for a solid fish fry and Old Fashioned (brandy of course), a great bar-sandwich and cold beer or a fresh house-made pizza, Lake Ripley Inn is your destination. Especially when John and Lisa are behind the bar and serving, you're guaranteed to have a great meal and even better service! The place is clean and obviously well managed and the atmosphere is warm and comfortable with great local flavor. Cambridge is just a short trip from anywhere in eastern Dane/western Jefferson counties and it's well worth it if your stop is the Lake Ripley Inn! I highly recommend trying, then frequenting this place! Oh yeah... almost forgot they also do a killer SUNDAY breakfast and literally one of the best bloodies I've ever had... not a salad in a glass, just simple and delicious!

I have had a cottage on lake Ripley for 20 uears and have always loved the food and cocktails at the Lake Ripley Inn. On tuesday Jan 5 2021 i called ahead for a pickup order after ice fishing. I saw on the website tuesday was Chefs choice pasta (i love when its chefs choice and the chefs get to make what they are really feeling and it showed)and the lady who answered the phone made the chefs choice seafood pasta sound irrasistable and it was -huge shrimp,lobster,crab,clams and perfectly al dente' pasta with a sauce that went so well -and to sop it up with killer garlic bread and an amazing hand tossed caeser salad to die for ! This is one of those quintessential, on-the-lake vibe, Wisconsin greasy spoons, and I say that with all the love and reverence in the world. When you go in, you can tell you're in the place where all the locals come to have a good time, and some great food, served up with a friendly smile, and great customer service. If you're looking for fine dining, look elsewhere. But if you're looking for friendly lake locals sitting at the bar, light up beer signs, excellent tunes on the jukebox (rush, the cars, David bowie, etc), and the world's best burger, served in a plastic basket on a piece of white and black checkerboard wax paper, then this is the place for you. It's impossible to leave this restaurant without a smile on your face, and a belly full of great food. 5 stars...
