Rohrbach Brewing Co. Buffalo Road Brewpub — Restaurant in Town of Ogden

My law office had a legal proceedings that required us to arrange lunch for all of the participants. We ordered lunch through the catering dept (at the original location on Buffalo Road) and our experience was fantastic. We had a gluten free person and some vegetarians in the group, and our selections were many (I emphasize many). We had many options for everyone and this is not the case from many restaurants we order from. I am sure we ordered some of the less popular items on the menu but these were not afterthoughts for the chef. We ordered about 10 different things and every one was amazing. Accolades from everyone. The favorites were the potato pancakes and the vegetarian version of the quesadillas. The flavors were amazing and complex. In fact, it was the best vegetarian quesadilla I have ever had personally! I might mention one of our participants was German and traveled in from Berlin for the day. Even he enjoyed the German offerings such as German potato salad and potato pancakes! To give you and idea of how diverse the menu, we had a multi grain salad with goat cheese, eggplant parmesian sandwiches and a roasted vegetable with wild rice entree. And the roasted vegetables were "real vegetables" including eggplant, brussell sprouts and other seasonal vegetables (and not just a melange of carrots, mushrooms and peppers like we get at some places.) For our non-vegetarians, we had crab cake sandwiches and I saw a lot of smiles at the luxurious treat for an office lunch. Rohrbachs is a local staple for a reason. Not only the incredible beer but also the food. My review is for today's incredible lunch. But I have had equally amazing experiences at the location at the public market. In fact, I have 3 preferred locations for business meeting at this is #1 on the list. Decided to stay and experience the dining area instead of getting a to-go order. Always had a great food experience here. After this experience dining in, I realized I was missing out on a very nice and enjoyable place to sit and dine.

I ordered the Bourbon Fried Chicken Plate for lunch. It comes with a large piece of fried chicken, French fries, and macaroni and cheese, with a sweet bourbon sauce. The chicken was hot, fresh, very juicy, and crispy. The French fries were perfectly seasoned with a nice crispy exterior and fluffy warm center. The macaroni and cheese was excellent, pasta was al dente, and the cheese was hot gooey and very flavorful. All together, it works perfectly.

After that wonderful lunch, I could resist ordering the Carrot Cake. An excellent choice. The cake was moist, and you could taste the spices that makes Carrot Cake great. The Cream Cheese frosting was sweet and tangy and plentiful. A perfect compliment to the spices in the cake. With the side of Whipped Cream, it was beautiful to see and delicious to eat.

Along with their wide selection of house made Brews (alcoholic and non-alcoholic), you won't be disappointed. Wonderful food, excellent beverages, excellent desserts, and spectacular service. this is an excellent choice for any meal at any time of the day.

My sister & her husband took me here for Mother's Day with their daughter & grandson. My sister made reservations days before. We were the first seated & given our orders but the last to get our meal. Then our meal finally showed up, all except mine! He apologized & said I could have 2 deserts. All my order was a cheese burger & onion rings. A woman about 12-15 minutes later served me my meal & said there would be no charge. The top of the bun was very greasy & I was starving. I bit in & tasted onions which my original order said no onions! So I picked off all the onions & put some ketchup on it & did a big bite. It was the driest burger I've ever eaten & it tasted funny. So I flipped it over & the bottom of the burger was burnt! I asked for medium to well, NOT BURNT! My sister was going to complain & I said let me take care of it & this is what I'm doing & I didn't want to wait again for another cheese burger! For one they were over priced & another their food was dry! My brother in law ordered a prime rib & he said it was very dry. My German chocolate cake was very dry & tasted like it was frozen. My nephew had me try his french fries & they tasted strange. It was like they were mashed first & then somehow deep fried. They too were very dry. So sorry for the low score but you need to improve the quality...
