Decided to go here as it had really good reviews and I love classic diner’s. To me it looks like an old friendly’s restaurant just painted. Inside it gives off the cozy appearance and a local spot. Server very friendly and was the table quickly. Drinks came back quickly and ordered food. The milkshakes were great so I had high hopes for the food. Wife ordered the waffle, I tried it and was ok not impressed as it was soggy not crispy. I had the Rueben panini with the macaroni salad. I must say the macaroni salad was homemade and good after I added salt and pepper, that is a matter of taste. The Rueben was odd as I have never had a panini that used like a Sam’s club flatbread. Not for me and wasn’t impressed as I love Rueben’s. Son ordered the other Rueben and wasn’t impressed with the bread. Meat was good. Personally felt the interior could have been cleaner....

Five of us went to get a little lunch after running around Oneonta. The wait for a table was about 15-20 minutes. The wait for our food after ordering was over 35 minutes. The food was good tasting and well prepared. Our waitress was nice. We got the check and saw that we were charged 75 cents for those paper cups of mayo which in my experience were always free. We were charged 75 cents for a single tomato slice. We got 5 straws no charge. I guess inflation has not been kind to any of us but to charge a customer for every little " extra" just doesn't seem right. At least let us know beforehand. A+ Excellent place for any meal. This was the first time we had stopped there to eat since the last business was there. The new owners have improved this restaurant COMPLETELY! Our food was excellent, the staff were friendly and attentive which is always a bonus, because it is getting difficult to find places with caring staff. There was plenty of parking and immediate seating upon arrival. We arrived on a Friday night around 6! Next time I visit Oneonta, I'll definitely go here again. Great diner...
