Lakeside Restaurant — Restaurant in Town of Ontario

After the owners staff screwed me outta making any livable tips wages to work with. I quit. Especially walking out with 21 on a Fridays night. I wasn't going back there. I've worked for respectable places including the Rochester Yacht Club. I am a very hard worker and i love my job. But not when im mpt being treated fairly!!!

Not even the best part I go back to get my check and they refuse to pay me. Claiming some money was missing out of his drawer from the last night I work. I didn't even close the drawer that night, but either way he has cameras that tell him who and what happened. So if he really wanted to find out he could just look. Hes just using it as an excuse not to pay me. Still he refuses to pay me my last check and claims he dose not owe me anything. Got to be kidding me. I will be taking the necessary steps from here bc I HATE OWNERS THAT THINK THERE GOD BC THEY RUN A RESTAURANT... LIKE YOU HAVE TO BE KIDDING ME. YOU ARE NOT JUDGE AND JURY. IF I WORK YOU HAVE TO PAY...

This was our first time here. My husband and I were children free for the evening and we drive by every day so we thought we'd check it out. I got one of the Friday night specials Broiled Lemon Pepper Scallops. Which were neither lemony or peppery and overcooked. I would've like pasta but they only offered potato options. I chose mashed but they were the instant kind and I didn't eat them. But the cole slaw was excellent. I liked the chunks of pineapple in it. My husband got a Philly cheese steak and fries. Fries were good. The cheese steak was very light on the steak and my husband had to ask for mayo. I ordered a slice of lemon cake to go which had that "been in the fridge taste" to it and dry but I ate it.

There were at least 5 waitresses working for such a small diner but they were all very friendly and attentive.

The menu prices were really reasonable. I'd like to go there for breakfast...

This is a quaint diner with not that many booths or table, but looking straight into the kitchen everything was incredibly clean and the locals seem to enjoy it. I do think some of the pricing is a bit more priced than what it should be whilst other menu items’s prices are justified. The pancakes were absolutely perfect. By far the best place I’ve had a pancake at - however the price for one pancake was 🤯. Still, delicious! ❤️

The food was absolutely delicious and I thoroughly enjoyed the fish n chips. Coffee was fresh and our waitress was a sweet heart. It did feel a bit rushed at time, but there wasn’t that many people in there so I’m unsure if we were being rushed or felt rushed.

Over all a perfect restaurant to grab an all day breakfast in case you missed your chance to grab breakfast, but excellent for their lunches!

Would totally return again as it was so...
