COOKIE JARZ BAKESHOP — Restaurant in Town of Orchard Park

We just discovered this place and it's definitely something to visit if you love cookies or cupcakes. Our first time in, the woman was helpful behind the counter and let us take our time in deciding what we wanted. We ended up getting four different cupcakes of the December specials, then a pound of assorted cookies. The family said every cookie was amazing (and my partner is super picky), and the cupcakes were so good. They were not dry at all, the perfect texture and density, and the icing was not too sweet. The flavors were exactly what the description said they would be (that's both for the cupcakes and cookies). We ended up calling in an order the following week and it was taken by Zoey (of the Z in the name). She was so sweet to us, patient as well, letting my oldest child go in to pay and pick up the order by themselves for the first time ever. This time we got the special January cupcakes (4 again), and more of the cookies.

If you're looking for which cookies are great, we can vouch for the fig, the Mexican ones, the Almond crescent ones, the mint chocolate chip as our favorites so far. We are so glad we found this place and plan on visiting many more times.

(The only reason we marked off a star on atmosphere is because when we first walked in, the place did not smell like a bakery -- it actually smelled pretty badly, like there was a water problem somewhere. It was surprising and put me off, almost to not wanting to order as it was our first time there, but I'm glad we did and ignored the smell. The place is incredibly clean, full of windows, and bright, and the children used the clean bathroom facility, so I'm not sure why it smelled so...

My wife and I were looking for a jumbo cupcake for our sons one month photos. We drove to several different bakeries around the area. We bought a few different cupcakes but for each one we weren’t excited about it and we were settling. Last minute I checked Google maps and came upon Cookie Jarz. We gave it a shot and boy am I glad we did. A beautiful store front with the sweetest staff members. I saw they have a giant gingerbread man for pictures, fresh piped cannolis, a coffee bar, several tables and chairs and the dessert case. All of these and more make this place a must. When I saw their cupcakes I didn’t see any with colors I liked so they went in the back and made me a custom cupcake with white frosting and edible confetti. Cannot say enough wonderful things about this bakery. My daughter attends the daycare right in the same plaza and she loves coming into Cookie Jarz for a treat when I pick her up. We stopped in the day before opening day not realizing they weren't open yet. The woman who we spoke to was so sweet and let my daughter pick out a Halloween cutout free of charge. It was such a nice gesture and my little one loved that she got a sneak peek before opening day. I have been and will continue to sing Cookie Jarz praises.
