This is normally a wedding venue but we reserved it for a family reunion and it was one of the best reunions we have had yet. There are 38 of us with our kids, their spouses and grand kids. We rented the Farmhouse, the 4 cabins and the bridal suite and it barely fit us all in. We were there for 4 nights and there was lots to do in the area. It is a beautiful area and it was not at all crowded with boats or people. We rented a boat one day from Cayuga Boat Rental and that was a great deal with great service and a fairly new pontoon boat that we used to pull the grand kids on tubes most of the day. They even brought the boat to us and were great to work with. Melissa and her husband are the owners. I highly recommend them. Cayuga Shoreline had several kayaks, canoes and paddle boards just for us and they were included and were used every day by everyone. The lake is beautiful and it was relaxing to be on it. Steve handled all of our needs and was absolutely great. They are not used to having that many people rent all of the property so there was a bit of a shortage before we got there, but Steve kindly took care of making sure that we had all the things we needed to cook, eat, sleep and shower. Steve was in contact with us throughout the process and it gave me great peace of mind that all would be ready for us, and it was.
The only downside that I can think of was that there were not life jackets for infants of about two years or younger and there was one sleeping room near the kitchen in the Farmhouse that had a curtain rather than a door. It would probably be best to have a maximum of about 35 guests. Steve did us a big favor to fit in 38 and so I am not complaining about this. We also brought 4 life jackets for our youngest grandchildren since Steve had let us know the situation there.
We are from the west, but would make this trip again, even with travelling all the way across...
Read moreWords cannot express how happy I am that we got married at Cayuga Shoreline! We live 3 hours away in the Poconos but knew we wanted to get married in the Finger Lakes area. Not only is the beauty of the lake unmatched, the venue itself is so unique, modern and versatile, yet still down to earth and cozy. Our families stayed in the on-site accommodations from Wednesday-Monday which were all very comfortable and clean. The days surrounding our wedding day were so fun for everyone, between the use of the kayaks/canoes, proximity to hiking/wineries and the great food and friendly atmosphere of O'Malleys. Katy was communicative, kind, and went above and beyond to make sure our day was seamless and the service was perfection. Chef Clem was fantastic, he built a wedding menu that was customized to our tastes (Latin-inspired, with gluten free and vegetarian options), the food was incredible and it was one of the standout compliments we continue to get about our wedding! This is where you want to get married if you're not into a cookie cutter ballroom and typical wedding fare. We love that we can come back here for dinners and Sunday brunches, and plan to do so every year. Katy, Clem, and all the staff treated us like family and we are all so grateful for the incredible experience,...

The food was amazing! My husband ordered the mac and cheese with chicken topping, and I ordered the mac and cheese with fried chicken on the side. I'm picky about my mac and cheese, but this was delicious! It had two cheeses and spiral noodles that were cooked to perfection. The fried chicken tenders were juicy and flavorful, and they came with a delicious dipping sauce.
The atmosphere was really welcoming. I was performing there, so I pay attention to customer service, and even before they knew who I was, the staff was friendly and attentive. The other customers were also very friendly and down-to-earth.
I forgot to mention that I didn't get to my food until after I performed, but it was still good cold. That's saying a lot, because I don't really care for cold food unless I have no choice.
Overall, I had a wonderful experience at Cayuga Shoreline. I will definitely be returning to sing and eat again soon!
Also, the space was stunning. Beautiful for a wedding reception or a wedding near the lake or a wedding rehearsal dinner. The staff are all welcoming and really nice. So go and enjoy and let them know...
