McDonald's — Restaurant in Town of Owego

Wed july 17.. 12:10am just left owego mcDs since they suck.. came to apalachin and JOSH made it ALL WORTH THE DRIVE. they were short staffed also but didnt get the fries and drinks only line.. got what we ordered.. we waited 5 whole minutes which is hardly a wait at all, but still JOSH APOLOGIZED NUMEROUS TIMES FOR THE WAIT AND EVEN GAVE US LG FRIES INSREAD OF MEDIUMS WE ORDERED AND 3 FREE COOKIES AS WELL.. WAS ASKED TO PULL AHEAD TO WAIT A BIT LONGER AND IT WAS LITERALLY 1 MIN B4 HE CAME OUT WITH OUR STUFF.. AND APOLOGIZED YET AGAIN FOR THE WAIT... THATS WHAT GOOD SERVICE IS ALL ABOUT.... "to the management there...." UR JOSH DESERVES A NICE LIL RAISE.. ITS EMPLOYEES LIKE HIM THAT WILL MAKE MY GIRL AND I FOR SURE GO BAK THERE AGAIN...REAL SOON. CAME FROM BINGHAMTON HEADED TO WAVERLY. SO HAD TO BACKTRACK FROM OWEGO TO APALACHIN. BUT IT WAS WELL WORTH IT... THANK YOU JOSH FOR MAKIN THE FLOPPED TRIP TO OWEGO MCDS AND THE DRIVE BAK TO UR STORE WORTH THE DRIVE.. U ARE A PRIME EXAMPLE OF HOW TO TAKE CARE OF UR CUSTOMER. IF THE REST OF THE STAFF FOLLOWS UR LEAD THEN U WIL HAVE ONE OF THE BEST MCDS IN BROOME & TIOGA COUNTIES.. TRULY A PLEASURE DEALIN WITH YOU. OWNER AND MANAGEMENT ARE LUCKY TO HAVE YOU... CANT...

The inside dining is much better than the drive-thru, however the drive-thru timer system is flawed. I have this problem with multiple McDonald's and Burger Kings alike. Once you enter the drive-thru a timer starts and that's supposed to regulate how fast they're pushing out orders, however once you paid the timer is stopped and they will use that to their advantage. Even though it takes an extra 4 minutes on average to get your order after you've paid they'll ask you to pay so that they can stop their timer and have you pull forward and wait for your food which is taking advantage of the timer system that's supposed to be used to regulate and make improvements in store. The proper way of doing things in a fast food restaurant is to wait until the order is complete to stop the timer which means if you want to give the McDonald's headquarters an accurate time you'll have to tell them that you'll pay once your food is brought up. Otherwise it just continues to fudge the time and they get better credit than they...

If I could give this location no stars I would. This is not the first time that we have had issues but we keep trying to give them the benefit of the doubt. Tonight we decided to give it another go. When we were given our 1st bag I over heard that they were waiting on the fries to add to the bags. I was given only 2 bags of my order in which 1 bag contained only the fries and the other was 1 meal. I was missing the other 5 burgers/chicken nuggets. My husband had to go inside to inform we were missing half of our order. He was able to receive the other bag that was just sitting there. We got home which is not even a mile away and the fries that we were waiting for were coldand the containers were barley filled with fries. Also having 3 orders or chicken nugget meals and being asked what dipping sauces we would like....surprise no dipping sauces. Why ask if you do not provide them?? I am done ordering from this location it has nothing but been a disappointment during the...
