Mr. Coolee's Ice Cream Shop — Restaurant in Town of Palmyra

I drive by this place almost daily and have been doing so for a couple years. Ice Cream at a Garbage company? Yea, that's what I was wondering. Seeing a line of cars constantly at the drive through window finally got me thinking this could be an okay place so I stopped in. I drive a big tractor trailer so I can not use the drive through but there is plenty of room for big trucks to park (they park a few dozen garbage trucks here). First thing I noticed when I got out of my truck was no garbage smell! K&D Disposal is clean! I've been in other garbage company parking lots and they all tend to stink so it was a nice surprise not smelling garbage. I walked into Mr. Coolee's and was surprised again, this place is really nice! They even have an indoor pond and fountain. They have an amazing number of choices for both soft and hard ice cream and the kids working there are attentive and helpful. I like soft serve and got a small and it was really big! Prices are very reasonable and you do get your money's worth. I'm glad I stopped and have stopped here a few times now, always with good service. So, Ice Cream at a Garbage company? Yes yes yes!!! We've been 3 times now since the new owners and are disappointed more and more each time. First time, we got 2 smalls and they charged $12, and they were pretty small (smaller than the smalls from the previous owners). Second time, we got 2 mediums because we didn't like how small the smalls were and they were monstrous. Again, $12. Ordered the exact same thing. Third time, got 2 smalls, $9.50 and one was tiny and the other was almost as big as the medium from the second time. Incredibly inconsistent with portion and prices. Unfortunately, we are done...

Went to Mr. Coolee's yesterday. I had wanted a baby cone but did not like any of the hard flavors. So I picked the orange flavor. This had to be made in a one person size order. It came to me very soft and runny and sliding off the cone! I had to put it in a cup. The flavor was good and reminded me of the orange flavored baby aspirin I took as a small child!! We got more icecream than other icecream shops around here. So you get more here for your money!!! We plan to go back and try their hamburgers...
