If you are travelling up or down I-81 and need a little or a large snack, this is the place to stop. It's the exit for Mexico, (New York). This is mainly a truck stop. The true American old school style truck stop. Diesel, gas, lotto, smokes, gear, snacks like pizza, and an independent family style restaurant. This no frills food frenzy is a Trucker's suppertime dream. Michelle (a server with a sense of humor, friendly, and knowledgeable about the menu) will be sure to care for you. There is a front door and a back door, but no thruway from the store to the restaurant, so don't park close to any door expecting to travel through the building when it's raining poodles outside. The desserts are made by the owner...don't go near the display case if you know what's good for you....or go and kick up your addiction to sugar, sweets, and attractive cakes and pies, it's your life. I would especially suggest you look at the cheesecake. What I would do to have another piece as I sit here and write this review. Do yourself a favor, and hit up a real American Truck Stop while travelling this Interstate. It's about an hour and 45 mins from the Canadian Border.

Mapleview Family Restaurant was open 11a-4p on Thanksgiving this year and was buffet only. Turkey was juicy, the ham was about as good as it gets, mashed potatoes and gravy were delicious, and so were the candied carrots, mac & cheese, broccoli salad and chocolate pudding dessert. There were other selections like yams and chili, and oh yeah, the green bean casserole was also good! For a truckstop restaurant, the food was certainly above average. I think the buffet was $23.99/$20.99 (kids), but the flavor factor 😋 was there, so I've got no complaints. The staff that I interacted with were all pleasant and genuinely seemed to be enjoying keeping up with the crowd today. My server was the nicest lady whose smile brought out my own smile. Grade A meal & friendly service. Much appreciated by a Florida trucker up here on Thanksgiving.

Man truckers stop here, rv stop here, car traveler stop here….. I am a trucker and you can check my history I only post places I love. And this is now one of them. This is a AMERICAN DINER . Old school in every way. I love this place. I think the dishwasher took my order cause it was busy and the waitress was busy. I waited 20 mins and got what the gentleman suggested. I got the cheesesteak n fries. Delicious…. Everything was beyond expectations. I will always stop here . Support buisness like this . They deserve every dollar great people good vibes great service. I will be back

This was our first time visiting this establishment. Upon entering we noticed a sign that read "Seat Yourself". We looked around and noticed multiple empty tables and booths, however, everyone of them needed cleared. We picked a booth and waited patiently for several minutes before someone came and took the dirty dishes away. Another waitstaff approached us after several more minutes and brought us menus and took our drink order. At this time I noticed two locals sit in the booth next to us and another waitstaff came up to them almost immediately. They received their drinks the same time as we did, however, unlike them our waitress took off without asking if we were ready to order. She just delivered the drinks then left immediately. She did come back shortly after and take our order. Our waitress did not return to check on us once. During most of the time we were there a majority of tables were left not bused all the while everyone would be standing around when not doing something else. Once our food was delivered, the waitress set the plate down in a way that some of the bacon fell off my wife's plate onto the still uncleaned table, then the waitress took off again and did nothing about the bacon. We had to flag her down to get silverware. . . Now for the good part, the food was amazingly great. My Philly was moist with a toasted hoagie bun (crunchy yum) and my broccoli was cooked perfectly. Other than the bacon that fell off the plate (my wife set it to the side), her omelet and homefries were flavorful. . . I understand everyone has a bad day, covid, being busy, etc., however, there are certain standards you should be able to meet at a minimum. It was also not welcoming to see locals get faster and...

I usually do not write negative reviews or bash local businesses. However, this is one case where I think the public deserves to know of my experience. Me, my husband and my two kids went here last week to eat after his wrestling meet. To begin with, we could not sit down for over 5 minutes due to all of the available tables being covered with dirty dishes. After we were seated, the waitress was very rude and preoccupied, I believe her name was Pam. The kids ordered grilled cheese, they enjoyed them. Me and my husband each ordered a burger, they had specific names but I do not remember. My burger was cold and the bun was very stale, the meat tasted off and I could not finish it. I ate the fries, which were very soggy textured. My husbands burger was a little better, although was cooked medium when he asked for well done. He enjoyed it until he discovered a large hair, half way through eating it. By this time we were disgusted and opted to leave the remainder of the food and leave. The server took a very long time to bring us our check and never once asked if everything was ok or about a refill/desert. After we left, the problems did not end there. Around 4:00am, I woke up vomiting horribly, tasting the same odd taste I did when eating the burger. My husband also complained about diarrhea the next day as well, the kids were fine. We will never come back to eat here again and I think the health department should step in so no more...

Went in for breakfast on a Sunday morning. Not many people in restaurant. I liked that we could choose our own seating. Things went down from there. Food took forever to come out and when it did it was not cooked through . I didn't think u could mess up.fren h toast but it was so soggy the fork couldn't pick it up. I ate what I could of the crust because my order of sausage links didn't come out with order, and I was hungry. Husband ordered an omelet The egs were flat and more ham than cheese. The other two parties at our table were messed up. The toast wasn't toasted and no butter on it. The order was missing the hashbrowns. We had to wait an addition 35 minutes waiting on the missing items of our order at which point we were ready to go because no one refilled our drinks of chocolate milk, and when we asked the waitress for more she said they were out of chocolate milk. I thought that was odd considering there was a fridge with two containers of chocolate syrup in it. It really would have taken 30 seconds to put milk and add syrup and stir it. Two hours and a horrible breakfast, I felt bad for waitress you could tell she was new, but none of the experienced staff was helping, until a huge party came in. I will not be back and due to the fact the French toast is not settling right with my stomach and the poor...
