I went here with a friend from the area, she said it was a great place to eat, a kind of local pizza joint. I'd never heard of the place, but I love trying new places, especially if they're not a chain. Not that I won't go to a chain restaurant, my reviews will show that is not true at all, but I love the opportunity to go to a place that is unique and has its own thing going on. This is definitely that kind of place. The atmosphere was incredible, the staff was fantastic, and the food was some of the best I'd ever had. I went in expecting pizza and simple Italian food, what I actually got blew my expectations away. I cannot remember what the dish was, but it was the signature dish, I had been planning to just get a calzone, but when I noticed that this dish was a signature, unique dish that I would only be able to get at Passarella's, I knew that's what I needed to get, regardless of cost. It was without a doubt, one of the best dishes I've ever had. Those that actually know me in person know I'm a bigger fella, but I could not finish the dish, no matter how badly I wanted to because it was so good, but it was so filling. The leftovers made an excellent meal all by themselves later the next week. I'm so thankful for the time I had here (somewhere around 2 hours, between the food, the atmosphere, and the good company, it was hard to leave) and I look forward to the next time I'll be...
Read moreWe were reluctantly stopping at the diner up the road because we were starving and it was packed and we didn't know of another place in Parish, so we searched and found this GEM! Rose and her husband are the business owners, he cooks and she tends to the customers. She was so happy to see us walk in, as there were only people picking up to go orders. She saw that I was cold and had us sit at a table with the vents below and she cranked up the heat right beneath me. She recommended a Barefood Strawberry Fruitscato for our wine and it wound up being our favorites that we have ever tried. The hot wings were our app, they were tender, juicy and the sauce was amazing. Our entrees were their house specialty "pasta pie" which, simply put, is a supreme pizza with noodles instead, it was phenomenal; And the chicken and broccoli Alfredo which was also great, creamy with the right amount of garlic and both came with a salad to start. Rose was so pleasant, she told us stories, and within minutes our plates were served by both her and her husband, the chef.
It was sad to see the dining room not packed at 6pm on a Thursday, pay them a visit, you won't be...
Read moreExcellent restaurant off the beaten path. We stopped for dinner here on our way from Syracuse to Kingston (very limited eating options along this path, ha) and enjoyed it so much we allocated time on our return trip to stop for lunch. Chicken parmesan, lasagna, and penne alla vodka were all perfect. Garlic knots were delicious. Even the kids' chicken tenders were really good! Be sure to try their homemade Italian dressing. Lovely husband and wife team that cook and serve. They obviously put a lot of hard work into the place. The food was all freshly made to order. Very pleasant service and good for families, we were traveling with a very tired toddler and preschooler and stopped in for dinner about an hour before they closed, and they were still very welcoming, and chatty with the kids which always helps :) prices were low especially for the quality of the food. Definitely give it a try if you are...
