Here is a two-star review for DC Malaysian Food: Painfully Slow, Incredibly Pushy, and Utterly Lacking Flavor I'm truly baffled by the five-star reviews for this place. Either the standards are incredibly low, or people are easily swayed by the "food truck" trend. Or maybe As someone who came from out of the country they were wowed?!! No beef items, because it’s not beef season!!! What a sad excuse!! I'm sad to say this was a truly disappointing experience and a far cry from the Malaysian food I know and love. The service was excruciatingly slow. It felt like an eternity waiting for our food, despite the place not being busy. What made the wait even more unbearable was the server's relentless attempts to upsell us on coffee. After multiple, polite refusals, we finally had to tell him to stop talking and just cook our food. It was an incredibly pushy and off-putting interaction. When the food finally arrived, it was a profound letdown. The flavors were non-existent across all the dishes. Honestly, the most flavorful thing on the plate was the side of cucumber. When cucumber is the star of a Malaysian dish, something has gone terribly wrong. The fried tofu was particularly offensive—a chewy, cotton-like substance that was borderline inedible. As a professional chef, I'm still trying to figure out what that was even made of. While I appreciate the effort, the food here is a complete miss. I would give it zero stars if I could, but in a moment of generosity, I'll award it two. Save your time and money. I Ty ok no pictures of food, as it wasn’t photogenic!!

What an unexpected TREAT! Looking for a quick food stop as we were traveling up Route 22 we spotted this food truck - with several cars parked around it. Figured we’d give it a go and were delighted to find it was Malaysian food. We had the chicken and rice (best ever chicken and rice / the flavor is rich and amazing) fried wonton - YUM with chili sauce, steamed rice dumpling (perfect) and Thai Bubble Tea - the most beautiful tea leaf flavor with tapioca pearls. Cant wait for our next trip up 22 to try more. Do yourself a flavor and treat yourself to this divine and gracious dining experience in Pawling.

Hello all, been coming here for a couple years now and it has never been a disappointment. Food is always top notch along with the service. Today's lunch was a new spin on the Char Siu Wonton Noodles that has been a staple there. The texture and tenderness of the meat sort of reminds me of a soup dumpling which is very good! Tender enough to stay soft but not too much where it falls apart. It makes for a good bite. The flavor really comes through too! Hands down still the best food around these parts.
