The experience at this establishment was thoroughly underwhelming, and I left feeling disappointed and disgusted. The decline in quality is apparent, and the focus on cost-cutting measures is evident. Every additional item comes with an extra charge, and the drink refill policy is overly restrictive, with only one complimentary refill for a $2.99 beverage.Which was complete Selzer. The salad bar, priced at $6.99, had flies present, and the second trip costs $12.99. The condition of the brown lettuce and vegetables was unacceptable, With bugs frying on them, and the hamburger was of poor quality, smelling of freezer burn and rubbery after a single bite My son's reaction to the meal was one of distaste, and he was unable to take another bite. The mashed potatoes were instant mash potatoes runny and the instant gravy was unappetizing . Silverware was dirty. Answer was the table.I was disheartened that the staff refused to exchange or refund the meal My son had ordered! When brought it to their attention. The experience highlights the importance of being aware of what one can expect from a dining experience. It is crucial to recognize the red flags, such as establishments that nickel-and-dime customers for normal amenities typically included with a meal. I strongly advise against visiting this establishment and recommend exploring alternative options in nearby towns that prioritize quality and customer...
Read moreMy husband and I spent the weekend in Pembine and decided to stop in and try the food. We walked in and were greeted, seated, and we ordered our drinks. The gentleman that seated us brought our drinks and went back to the kitchen. We sat there talking for 10 minutes and no one had come to take our order. He came back to check on us and we told him our waitress hadnât taken our order. He apologized and explained that he was training two high schoolers and wasnât paying attention. He took our order and went back over to the grill.
My husband ordered an Philly Cheesesteak which was a big bun, but not a lot of meat. He said that it tasted good, but he was disappointed because it was mostly bread. There should have been more meat to be worth what we paid for just the sandwich. I had the hot beef sandwich with mashed potatoes and gravy. There was a generous helping of beef on my sandwich. The gravy was dark brown, not too salty, and not too thick or too runny. My meal was the perfect warm, comfort food I was craving.
I wonât give Winterâs Family Restaurant a bad rating because he was training new staff members and running the restaurant. There is still a worker shortage and it affects businesses large and small. The restaurant had that small town feel, it was clean, and the gentleman running the restaurant was...
Read moreFor a "Under New Management " place I think they need to start over with the cook! I ordered a cup of chili and a BLT. Some you'd think but the chili was not homemade and taste like it just came out of the can. Tasted very similar to Hormels. Just been, burger and the sauce! Then the BLT I ordered on whole wheat and with extra bacon I might add. Came with 4 pieces of bacon(this would be a normal serving), 1 very small tomato slice (which ended up on one of the halves) and lettuce (which ended up on the other half with no tomatoe). On the menu it listed for $4 with a $2 upcharge for the extra bacon. The bacon was cold and overcooked also! I thought I would try this place because under the old management the quality of orders had seriously dived but, now I know under the new management it has changed...
