Came across this place via Google reviews and decided to stop in and was not disappointed! Wow 🤩! Food was incredible! So fresh and so tasty! Everything was packed with flavor and lit up our pallets with the quality of the ingredients! We came in and were seated right away and was helped by the nice waitress. Our food came out fast and the ambiance was great. Music set a beautiful tone inside without being too loud. We ordered a bunch of things and the cactus salad was an amazing dish! Never had that before and glad it was so good for our first experience ; it’s really set the bar high! Picadillo Bowl was so delicious! Their beans were incredible! The pico salsa was one of the best I’ve ever had! Also an amazing tamale. We loved everything and can’t wait to go back! If you’re searching for your next meal and came across Juanita’s , look no further. You won’t be disappointed! They also have an ATM in the store! Get your next...
Read moreWe stopped by because of the great reviews. We had just come from a nice hike. The food was ok and the staff were friendly. It's clearly a local favorite. The bad: We ordered three different dishes. We may have had a bit of bad luck, but that was our sample size. The deluxe nachos used canned nacho cheese sauce (there is hardly any way to give them more than 3* for that alone). The steak pieces were dry and a bit chewy on the bowl and burrito. A 12 ounce cheap flavored water was $2.75. We are probably spoiled because we live near several outstanding Mexican...
Read moreWe were staying in Cold Spring over Independence Day weekend, and I walked over to neighboring Nelsonville to try Juanita’s because online reviews were solid. I was not disappointed: the food is unbelievably fresh and flavorful! I ordered a breakfast bowl with scrambled eggs, beans, avocado, home fries, and spinach and mushrooms ( I added mango salsa at the Airbnb) and a bowl with chicken, rice and beans, avocado and pico. The cafe itself is cute and clean, the young lady serving me was friendly and professional, she gave me a glass of ice water because it was very hot outside, and I enjoyed listening to music while my food was being prepared. A solid 5 out of 5 stars, and a spot to hit up whenever we take a day trip to the...
