Birchwood Bar & Lodge — Restaurant in Town of Pine Lake

Stopped by for some of their amazing wings and onion rings. We ordered dinner before we even ordered drinks. The bar owner was “cooking” when we walked in with 9 other people in the bar. Four of which were at a table finishing their dinner and three of which left before we put our order in. The boyfriend and I were the only ones left in the bar that ordered food by the time we put our order in. The other two individuals were just drinking. We waited 5 minutes for our food and ordered another drink and a shot each when a group of 5 young men walked in. The bar owner then came out from the kitchen and was assisting them for about 10 mins and then proceeded to flirt with them and demand “hugs” before they left. She then went outside and came back in after another 10 minutes and said “oh, there’s a ticket here”. At which my boyfriend told the bartender “if that’s for our onion rings and wings, cancel our order”. The bar owner then offered to pay for our food but after waiting 30+ mins for our order to be acknowledged, let alone started, we declined. The bartender apologized profusely, as she made multiple comments about our order sitting there. The bar owner then called offered to pay for our drinks. We left to eat elsewhere. Nice staff good food a+ i though the menu was so different and the burgers sounded great and the pozzas sou ded great and the fish fry sounded great. Everything sounded great lol. The bartender was awesome and she was working alone and kicking butt. And stayed friendly the entire time. I ended up getting the fish and a pizza and boy was I happy with my choice. I will come again to this awesome bat in the backwoods of rhinelander. Trust me this place is good. The fish was decent but the pizza was the real star of the show I ate most of it and only brought some home to have something g to look forward to the next day. I brought my friend out here and she loved it as much as I do. Next time I go I'm getting a burger cuz those looked sooooooo so so so good. Thanks Birchwood for keeping the northwoods at your place. AWWWWWWFUL!!!! If I could give it 0 stars I would and we didn’t even get to eat! SMELLS LIKE CIGARETTES AND CIGARETTE SMOKE!!! Ran down! We walked in and no one even acknowledged us! We sat down and she finally came over! We waited patiently . She Dropped the menus and didn’t even come back. My husband had to flag her down for drinks at least and she basically said that she was too busy to get our drinks that she had things to do. They were out of everything. We left after this!!!
