Domenico's Pizzeria — Restaurant in Town of Plattekill

I always passed this pizzeria and wondered if it was good since always seemed to have customers, so one day decided to stop in for a slice with my fiance. Although the pizza looked normal we were both disappointed unfortunately that there was absolutely no taste to the pizza!? The cheese had pull so it appears to be real cheese but no flavor at all, not even a hint of salt! We doused parmesan and Italian seasoning on it to see if it would help, but still tasted like nothing/ cardboard, and barely like any sauce, if any. I love how crispy the crust was but I guess if the baker was going for crispy flavorless Flatbread that would be dipped in something that would take on the flavor of the sauce, then that ingredient combo would work. If they're still in business maybe we'll try again in a few years, but unfortunately for now we will be driving on by or going to Newburgh or New Paltz for pizza. Even though no pizza in the area would compare with the city, just never encountered flavorless pizza!? Heck even School lunch processed...

My family and I have been going to Domenico's since before online reviews were a thing which is probably why I never thought to leave one. The food is always consistently delicious, my personal favorite being the baked ziti dinner or a slice with mushrooms but a very close second is the chocolate chip pancake breakfast... Yes, they make a fantastic breakfast too! But my favorite part of going to Domenico's is the warm welcome I get every time I step foot in the door. I will never forget when Domenico's made sure my family and I were well fed the night my father passed away. Domenico's is a huge reason why I love living in this small town. Walking in, feeling like part of the family and getting a great meal on top of it... Second to none! It's been great to watch the next generation take the reins too! Thank you for decades of great food...

The lady that works there with the greasy hair with the thic glasses needs some home training. She has no good customer service. My mother and I have been eating there for years, and this is the 5th time she comes home from work complaining about YOUR employee again and again. She should not be working in the front, presenting herself as a cold person. I will not be eating there again.
