The Hillside Tavern & Grill — Restaurant in Town of Plum Lake

Great food and service. Hadn't been here in several years but it is one of the few places open on Monday so we gave it a go. This time we were here on our anniversary for drinks and dinner. I wasn't very hungry (especially after eating my Bloody Mary garnishes) so I got the soup and salad bar. Greens were dark and fresh-no watery iceberg lettuce in sight. Pasta salads, potato salad, pickled beets were all fresh and tasty. Italian wedding soup equally good and authentic. Spouse had the Cuban. It was HUGE. He could only eat half. Server asked if he wanted a box but since we are tent camping he said no. Server offered to wrap in foil- good idea. We are looking forward to reheating it on the grill for lunch tomorrow. They serve excellent homemade pizza!! We went on Mother's Day and ALL Mother's had the option of a FREE 6pc. Deep fried shrimp dinner with fries, salad bar and soup!! Truly amazing!! Went with a small group of people for dinner. We were seated immediately and our waitress arrived shortly afterwards to take our drink orders.
