I was literally just passing through the area and drove by the Mess Hall and noticed a sign advertising fried chicken. That was enough to make me turn around and check it out. I was greeted by friendly folks and they recommended their lunch special fried chicken sandwich with seasoned fries. The order came out about ten minutes later and I have to say that was some of the best fried chicken I’ve had in years. It reminds me of the super flavorful and well seasoned fried chicken I would get growing up in the Deep South. It's just a fun little sandwich shop/snack bar bar kind of place that leans lightly into it's military theme with some great mementos and souvenirs decorating the place. My parents and I went for a simple weeknight dinner as we were passing through the area and we were very pleased. Food was great and the employees were friendly and courteous.
