Knoxie's Pub — Restaurant in Town of Pompey

Went with a buddy of mine that lives down in Lafayette for 10 cent wing night. It was your basic little 'Irish' bar in the middle of nowhere filled with mostly locals. Beer was cold and not foamy but the tap selection was minimal. PA system was lacking and you could barely hear it over the noise (and the bar wasn't even half full). Wings were decent when I finally got them a full 45 minutes later due to the PA being lousy. Downside - Bartenders didn't even look like they wanted to be there, never tried to find out if orders were being fulfilled, hardly if ever came around; local drunk from what I'm guessing making a scene and a ruckus without any of the staff intervening (wondering if they even cut him off); honor system with no checks on ID although they had a little paper sign on the door stating 'Only people 21 and over allowed In' like that's going to stop anyone underage from going in. Best place around for pizza and wings.their cheeseburgers are the best. Their specials are fantastic, always something happening here. Excellent service Halloween contest, paiting with a twist, pumpkin carving, Christmas parties one for kids and one for adults, super bowl parties excellent place to have your gathering. We have had a family reunion there, celebrated birthdays and so much more. They paint the road every year with a green shamrock.
