Smugglers Bar & Grill — Restaurant in Town of Potter

It is the best restaurant in Potter, New York. Well it's the only restaurant in Potter, New York but it's still good. It's your classic Bar and Grill. It's a great stop for those traveling through the Finger Lakes region using secondary roads. Or if you're camping at some nearby campgrounds it's a great place to venture out for a bite to eat if you're tired of cooking over the camp stove. It's also nice to sit out on the porch and take in the quaintness of the region provided by the horse and buggies going by driven by the Amish in the area. Horrible service. Walked in, was not greeted, just looked at by the bartender. Sat down at the table and waited to at least be recognized and helped. 15 mins went by and still no service. This bar is only friendly to the locals. Place is dark and dingy. Beer fridge is being held shut by tape. No music no nothing. Very unprofessional bar. Ended up going to The Public House in Canandaigua and was much better. I don’t see this bar lasting long. Funny because when they first opened they had a fb post saying come check out our new bar. I went to the Smugglers Corner to try their cheese burger garbage plate, and while the service was excellent, I did not love the garbage plate. The lack of home fries, which was substituted with either french fries or tater tots, and a meat sauce that tasted very similar to Manwich blended with Tabasco sauce just wasn't that great in my opinion. Definitely not worth the $12 price tag on their garbage plate. The cheeseburgers and the macaroni salad that was on the garbage plate was pretty good, so if you are going here I would recommend ordering one of their burgers and skipping their...
