Channingville Deli — Restaurant in Town of Poughkeepsie

They forgot one of our sandwiches which was for my kids to share on picnic at Bowdoin. Called from park and they admitted they forgot to make the sandwich. Told them we'd be in to pick it up and that my kids had nothing to eat. Had to end picnic to go get the sandwich and when I got there, the guy told me he didn't charge me for it the first time so I had to pay for it now. I said 'Really? We just had to end a family picnic bc of your mistake and now you're going to charge me?' He said yes...I said thanks I don't want it and left. Terrible customer service. I was absolutely not looking for something for free but when a business makes a mistake like that (and mistakes happen...I totally get that! )... then the business should make it right. He'd rather keep the sandwich he had already made than keep me as a customer. Will never return to that...

The Channingville Deli is my favorite place to get a quick delicious sandwich to go. The owner and staff are always very friendly and fast. This Deli is and has been awesome for decades. My father, my grandfather and all "The From Family" that lived on Sheafe Rd, loved this place. Jay/Sandy, keep up the great work.
