The Retreat Bar — Restaurant in Town of Presque Isle

We stopped in on a whim for a cold beer, after being in the area to buy some gas lights we found on the market place. We were greeted with a friendly smile and the delicious aroma of freshly made pizza. We found the place quite busy for a Tuesday night, but that didn't impact the speedy service at all. We decided to kick back and enjoy a burger. My husband had the bacon cheeseburger and I had the mushroom swiss. Both were juicy and cooked to perfection! The only thing we both noted was the bun either needs to be smaller, or the burger needs to be larger! More than 1 piece of bacon would have made the bacon cheeseburger even more scrumptious!! Stopped here with a dozen people on snowmobiles. After taking food orders for half the group, the waitress informed us they were closing the kitchen and no one else would be served. The attitude and argumentative responses our group received was truly VERY poor customer service. No one was offered any options or apologies. Half our group left to eat elsewhere. The other half commented it was the worst hamburger they've had served with arrogance and disregard.
