Been coming to JB's every time I come home to visit family. I picked a table and noticed a big puddle of water on it so I walked to the bar ordered drinks and asked to use a bar towel to clean it up. The waitress was running around helping others so I took it upon myself to help. She was so wound up you'd think she just railed an 8 ball of cocaine. Even the bartender was trying to back up after giving me what I asked for. I placed an order and saw one of the owners walking out and said hi. He blew me and my father off and wandered out looking like he just robbed CVS and was trying to sneak out. Dad order fish because they were out of brisket he was hoping for. Options given for sides were fried potatoes. He got what looked like dried up McDonald's fries with 10x the salt. I ordered 5 two teriyaki style wings and 5 JB style wings. The teriyaki wings were good but the straight salt wings resembled dried salt cured more than meat. I couldn't eat them even dipping one in the other sauce. Dad tried one and spit it out. Even the Guinness I was drinking couldn't stop the burning in my mouth. It took an hour and three stiff cocktails before the salt burn went away. The waitress said she'd take half off but I didn't care. The food was so bad that I don't think I'll even return, which is a shame. From a shop to a decent bar, it was a nice place to go. If you just want a drink I'd recommend it because the bartender was great and they have a pool table. As far as food, it's...

I knew about the no meat going in, but very underwhelming. The part of the visit that really tanked the review was when I ordered a shot of Crown Royal for a night cap and the bartender poured a shot of bottom shelf black velvet and didnt think I would notice. Yes I watched you pour and serve it, and no I didnt say anything. I paid my check and got the hell out of there. Dont charge me for a premium spirit and pour me bottom...
Read moreNice place up in the hills of Prattsburgh. We were surprised when we got here because it wasn't in town or around anything else. Felt more like a bar to us, the bar was full but noone was eating at the tables and it was 6 at night. Definately a retreat for locals. Food was very good though. We both got the burgers and they were juicy and flavorful. Fresh cut fries and fresh green beans. Service was very friendly. We may be back when up in...
