Bassett Creek Saloon is a hidden gem! The service is phenomenal and so was the atmosphere! Everyone from the staff to the patrons were incredibly nice and gave several recommendations of what to try.
We started off with fried portobello mushroom slices which were amazing. For our meal, we had smoked pulled pork sandwiches with a side of potato salad, and a side of the smoked chicken pasta salad. Everything is homemade down to the bbq sauce, and was super delicious. The sandwiches were extremely generous, and the meat melted in your mouth like butter on a stack of flapjacks. The smoked chicken pasta salad was super flavorful, and had the perfect blend of smoky, creamy, and seasonings, and no shortage of smoked chicken. The potato salad was rich and creamy and one of the best I've had in a while. One of the patrons asked which we liked more between the potato salad and the smoked chicken pasta salad and we couldn't decide because both were phenomenal. As someone who normally passes on coleslaw I can honestly say I ate it all and almost ordered a second cup. Even the pickle was crunchy down to the last bite.

(A little disappointed) I was also looking forward to the smoked foods that, I was also unaware, were only available as "specials" on certain days. They had brisket from the day before as well as pulled pork that was left over from Wednesday. The brisket was very good. The pork was pretty dried out.
