Greenside Grille at Lake Arrowhead — Restaurant in Town of Rome

I visited the Greenside Grill on February 27, 2019 for an early dinner. I ordered the 1/2 Wedge Salad and the Chicken Tacos. The Wedge Salad came with my taco plate and was presented very well. The taste was good but the Caesar dressing, which stated anchovy as an ingredient, lacked the umami flavor of the anchovies. It needed 1 or 2 anchovies that were mashed to be mixed in the dressing. It was still tasty. My taco plate had 3 large flour tortilla tacos with chicken, Spanish rice and cheese and lettuce. It came with tortilla chips and salsa and a side of sour cream. The flour tortillas were fluffy, but could have been cooked a little longer. The chicken was flavorful and overall the tacos were 8 on a scale of 1-10. The chips are a bagged variety, lacking in taste and texture. The salsa was bottled and could use some doctoring for flavor with fresh ingredients. I also ordered a Bloody Mary and was very happy with the taste, presentation and depth of flavor. Pretty darn good meal with just a few tweaks to be an excellent. Try the Greenside...

1st off.... Let's begin with the snooty waitress....She rolled her eyes when we were ordering....She screwed up the orders and not just one mistake, but several....and when asked to correct them had a major attitude....then she forgot to bring us our sides....and I'm writing this while here so I dont know what else is going to happen.

2nd off....the cook was horrible....he also screwed up the orders....Our omelets were very dry and not how we ordered them at all....then he didn't cook the food as requested either (bacon was undercooked)....

I do not recommend this place to...

I was there about a month ago for the first time ever. The staff was professional and friendly, and the food was beyond amazing! I spoke with Denise, I believe she is a manager because she acted very professional. I was so impressed that she was jumping in and working hard right alongside the staff. It must also be a great place to work with management like that.

And I can't wait to go back in the summer and hang out on that...
