Unfortunately I cannot recommend this restaurant, at least not for the time being. Green acres was severely understaffed the evening we attended. We arrived and had our traditional old fashions at the bar prior to being seated. Our 6 o’clock reservation was honored. Upon being seated upstairs we noticed many other large groups, and only two servers to manage the customers at the tables. After sitting for nearly 10 minutes, our first of two waitresses arrived to deal with our party of 10. The drinks took quite some time and then we waited even longer for orders to be taken. The wait staff was helpful in their recommendations. A couple of people at our table tried the evening special, a $40 ribeye steak. Both people ordered their steaks medium, unfortunately both arrived very well done. Typically a server would return within five minutes to ask how everything was, by the time the server did check seven of the 10 people had already finished their meals. When we told the waitress about the steaks being overdone she asked if we would like them to re-cook the steaks. Obviously since everybody was done eating, we declined. She went to speak with her manager. When she returned she said she would like to offer either a dessert or a dessert drink to compensate for the meals not being made correctly. Obviously this was not going to do. I immediately went downstairs to check with the manager to see if they were seriously offering an eight dollar dessert in exchange for a $40 steak? The manager apologized and said there must’ve been a miscommunication and said that the two steaks would of course be covered by the establishment. I was very happy that they did the right thing. The manager did report that they were short one staff member in the kitchen and two servers on the floor. I hope that if you decide to give Green Acres a shot, that they are fully staffed. Perhaps if that had been the case I would be leaving a better review, but there are so many other great restaurants to try, I just wouldn’t risk...
Read moreThis was our first visit to Green Acres establishment. We have always heard good things, so we figured we would try it for ourselves. We spent the day at House on the Rock and drove right past this place on the way home. When entering the restaurant we were immediately greeted with hellos, smiles and seated! Once sat we were told specials for the day, drink order taken and away we go! I ordered the bacon wrapped shrimp appetizer and crab cakes to share. Both were pretty good and paired with tasty sauces, just needed a little seasoning. We then ordered a rack of ribs for myself and fettuccini Alfredo topped with Shrimp and Scallops for my wife. Yum! Both of us got a trip to their salad bar which was really simple, but really good. Awesome salad, fresh cut veggies, fresh cheese, cottage cheese and toasted garlic bread! We got a loaf of fresh cut bread delivered to our table to eat with our salads as well. We then got our meals which were cooked perfectly, and very tasty! My only complaint is that everything lacked seasoning or any real flavors. It was all very bland, like they were cooking for a retirement center! Let's jazz that amazing food up a bit with some flavor town! We understand your crowd is older and that what pays the bills, but needs some seasoning! My ribs were tender, not much flavor again and not my preference of bbq sauce. They slathered them in open pit bbq which is a Texas tang sauce and I like a sweet bbq (brown sugar, molasses, mustards) so that ruined the whole experience for me. Overall it was a clean place, friendly staff, great location, good food, average price for a Supper Club, and a great wine selection! We will be back to try some more food...

We chose Green Acres to celebrate a college graduation. After hearing positive expectations from family and friends, we decided to go for a special night out. However, disappointing service marred our evening, and a lackluster dining experience followed. When we arrived, both the bar and dining room were nearly empty. Despite it not being busy for an 8:30 reservation, it took our server, Kelly, over 15 minutes to bring our drinks from an empty bar. Meanwhile, we couldn't help but feel pressured by the bus girls, who were cleaning up and eyeing us to hurry with our meal. When our order for the fish fry was finally placed, it arrived surprisingly fast within 5 minutes. However, it became evident that the food had been under a heat lamp. The fish and accompanying potatoes arrived disappointingly cold despite Kelly's warning about not touching the plate because it was hot. Throughout the evening, Kelly's service remained erratic, contributing to a sense of being rushed and unwelcome, almost as if we were inconveniencing the staff by being there. This, coupled with the overall disorganization and lack of attention to detail, left a bitter taste in our mouths, figuratively speaking.
Despite the positive reviews we had heard about Green Acres Supper Club, our firsthand experience fell far below expectations. While we acknowledge that every establishment can have an off night, the combination of subpar service and food quality makes us hesitant to give it a second chance. Regrettably, what was meant to be a memorable celebration turned into a forgettable...
