The first ever Pork Tenderloin to win best in the State of Iowa was Darrell’s Place in Hamlin so there was no way I was passing it up for Audubon County! Excellent burgers, meat with good flavor on its own. The Soul Burger, with cole slaw and bacon, was absolutely delicious. I had the macaroni salad as my side and it was great too, with big pasta shells. Only thing is for me it was a bit too heavy on the Mayo, but otherwise good Mac salad. Wait staff was spot on, checking on us regularly, polite, and with a smile on their faces. Will definitely come back!

Every time I'm in Middleport New York, I make it a point to visit Darrell's Place for breakfast or lunch. I've never been disappointed.

My wife and I come here often to visit family. Darrell's is a must place to go for great down home cooking, tastefully prepared and graciously served.

The owner grew up in town and is known to just about everyone here. He and his staff are extremely gracious, very well trained and appreciative of their customers patronage.

We were there for breakfast today. I ordered my favorite Eggs Benedict made with Cheddar Cheese Sauce instead of Hollandaise Sauce. What an awesome variation on an old classic!!

The place fills up fast around meal times. Besides me, the locals love the place. So go early. You will not be...

Darrell's simply has the best breakfast within 500 miles of where I live! I kid you not. If you like donuts, fresh donuts and you get there 20 minutes after he opens you're out of luck. His eggs, meats and let's not forget warmed up pastries just seem to taste better! It won't be long before Darrell is roasting his own coffee to serve in the morning. Even more than that is the transformation of his restaurant from a roadside breakfast and lunch place to a destination for breakfast, lunch and dinner. I've never been disappointed and the real treat is looking through the window and seeing his smiling face and him greeting you. If you love what you do you'll never work a day in your life and...

Crossed from Canada into NY state and on our way to Rochester, NY we came upon Darrell's. Stopped in for breakfast and as we walked in we were instantly greeted and told we could sit anywhere we would like. Our waitress was friendly and courteous. I ordered the biscuits with sausage gravy and a fried egg on top. I was blown away. Food was piping hot, fresh and you could taste it was homemade. By far the BEST biscuits and gravy I have ever had! Would highly recommend this place and wish it was closer to home so that I could keep...
