I had been told the food was good here but this was my first time. The place is small but you won't care. You know when people say a place is cozy? This place is cozy. It's very nice inside, very Northwoods feeling. Welcoming. The 2 guys behind the bar were very friendly and attentive without being overbearing. I had the Brew Burger which has 2 patties, 2 different kinds of cheese, lettuce and tomato, and bourbon sauteed onions. Tomato is tomato, lettuce is lettuce, and cheese is cheese. We make an annual trek to a cottage not too far away from here and finally tried this place for supper. We took our kids (12 and 17 years old). There was a sign clearly posted that you have to be 21 to sit at the bar but just a few steps away are some tables that are perfect for families or groups to sit at. Our table would seat 6. We ordered our drinks and our food. Everything came out tasting amazing. I had chicken strips which had the perfect outside crunch and were flavorful, the kids had chicken wings which they really enjoyed, and my husband had a burger which he said was very tasty. We had one order of seasoned fries to share between the 4 of us and it was great plenty. The staff was great to interact with. Both the bar area and the restrooms were very clean as well. Strange experience.. we had been here in the winter and liked the food and all. Just went there today for burgers and drinks and asked if we could be outside with our tiny dog and eat there. The staff said, no, I have to check with management. Then we asked can we get a carryout and eat it outside. Well they said, ok. So outside they have patio furniture, cables to tie dogs to, water bowls and dog toys.. not sure why they were so negative. And about 30 min later, we went in , got our food that was sitting and they did not tell us it was ready. Start eating after I put my dog in truck near us, and a woman came out and told us we have to leave with our food! To top it off, they have a sign in that area, please pick up after your pets!
