Murmuring Waters Lodge — Restaurant in Town of Saint Germain

Stopped for a stamp for Operation Santa . the bartender was very friendly. It was so Northwoods. The inside is beautiful vertical log building . You can feel the history of the resort, mounts of deer fish bear. So decided to return Monday. It was Taco night.. We each order 2 tacos (have a choice of beef, chicken, pork. ). And a side of beans and rice. And a soda. It arrived in a stand up taco shelland T, chips. The taco bar had all the fixings. Including salsa, sauce, Jalapenos,lettuce sour cream, pico de gallo cheese and green onions. 2 tacos were more than enough and my dining partner said she had never had so much meat in a bought taco . It was nice to add what you liked .and the meat was very good rich with flavor. The 1 waiter was busy but very friendly. the bartender helped when she could which said accolades. The customers were as friendly as the staff was and that says so much about this little bit of the Northwoods treasure that gave you a taste of days gone by. This place has to be the best Friday Fish Fry in northern Wisconsin. You get the choice of two or three pieces of Walley. And sides. They also have other choices of fish, but the way I rate fish fries is by the Walley. They have great Old Fashions made by a friendly staff.
