Ripepi's Restaurant — Restaurant in Town of Saint Johnsville

Stopped in with my parents who were visiting from PA. I am by no means a regular; I live an hour and a half away. We tried eating at Jim's harbor bar for dinner, but it turned out they only served lunch. Our outsider ignorance definitely worked against us there. Regardless, these guys were the only place that could squeeze us in with how late it was getting. Service was great; food was fantastic. I ordered the cod, and it was delicious. The New England Clam just beforehand was the perfect appetizer to go with it. My girlfriend and parents all got homemade pasta dishes that turned out good too. GF-cheese ravioli, Mother-spinach rigatoni, Father-Chicken Parm. As a take home we got the upside down pizza, and it was equally excellent. I really enjoyed tossing a slice in the toaster oven and having that to eat over the next couple days. Very unique, and very tasty. I'd go back if I didn't live so far away. If I could give zero stars I would. When we (husband and I) walked in the lady yelled across the restaurant if we had a reservation...once we were seated it took a while for our waitress to even come to our table. $2 dollars for a can of pepsi...really? Food was bland, stuffed shells tasted like they had mattress foam in them. Hot roast beef sandwich came on plain white bread that tasted old. Like that sweet almost ready to mold type bread...They're scooping ice out of an igloo cooler...when I asked for the check the waitress said "yea" and then took care of other people...When she asked if we wanted boxes I said no. She asked if the food was cold and I said no it was disgusting. I don't recommend this place...like at all. Best part of the experience...

My daughter and I were in town for mining and camping overnite. We went looking for food and found this great restaurant! I would reccommend Ripeppi's very highly! My daughter had the chicken and biscuits special and I had the eggplant parm. Both dinners were AMAZING! I have not had such delicious eggplant parm. since my Grandma Dot made it years ago! (this was better because they layered the eggplant) We would drive to this place from Lake George it is so good. The service was excellent, very reasonable prices and ample parking too! Go and see...
